Yeah that makes no sense. Part of why I told myself I would not pursue any GG stuff at the con. I did not want to destroy my experience.

I was trying to get one for Deak...and I woke up real early on Friday (the day of teh video I shot) so I can get in line....but after that...I said ____ it.
I mean...I tried but it was impossible.

I agree.

We should have put him in the art line !

Somebody's head needs to roll for the way they handled both the art purchasing line and the exclusives like Boba. I wasn't there, and probably wouldn't have been trying for them anyway, but that's just ridiculous. I heard vendors were actually scalping the Bobas at their tables! Talk about a slap in the face!

And, yes, the whole Gentle Giant Boba Fett thing was a total fiasco. I'm quite sure vendors purchased at least 75% of them. I was lucky enough to get one without much of a problem, but the whole thing still sucks and pisses me off, especially since most of you guys got screwed.

Seriously, there was a line of at least 20-30 people (pretty much all vendors) at the Gentle Giant booth each morning around 8:00. :slap

How was that allowed to happen??? Vendors can't do that at SDCC.

Same thing happened at C4. I tried for two mornings straight to get their animated R2 and Yoda and its the only thing my girlfriend (at the time) wanted. The lines were huge and I walked in at 10 am when they opened. I told GG rep off and said "Why don't you handle your exclusives like Sideshow?" That really pissed him off and he made a remark like "We are more exclusive than Sideshow" At least SSC knows how to treat their customers. GG seemed like the "elitist prick" company who couldn't give a ____ about their customers

Regardless of the lines, the fiascos, etc... It was a great experience and it was fun to meet my fellow freaks and see all the costumes... The Peter griffin was the best!!! Lol
