Watching Empire tonight to get my mind off missing CV and all of you too.

I admit I couldn't resist watching a bit of Jedi on Spike after the show. It really was an awesome, surreal experience that I won't be forgetting anytime soon. I kind of regret not making a bigger effort to meet some of you there but getting to chat with the actors and Burtt was one of the greatest "SW moments" of my life.

Picked up a nice Padme shirt for the missus from the "Her Universe" booth as well:

It was also fun getting to see all the cool display curios and exhibits in person instead of browsing thumbnails on sites like rebelscum. Just an all around awesome experience.

Places like Disney World and Universal Studios wouldn't care anyway because they already bring in tourists themselves. I could easily see all of the local hotels around the area price spike during a major con. Maybe not the first year or the second year but when they sign that multi year contract BAM that is when they suck you in.

No, there are way too many rooms in the area, Comic Con at 125,000 people is just another drop in the bucket to Orlando. Any hotel that raises its prices for comic con will lose out on business because there will always be another hotel down the street that won't increase their prices.

Florida summers aka "swamp ass"

So what? The entire convention takes place indoors. You get up in you air conditioned hotel, get in your air conditioned car and drive to the air conditioned convention center.

Damn this still stings, the first Celebration that I didn't attend. Awesome guys. :monkey2 I hope it's in LA again, cause it was the best venue. Also Original Pantry Kitchen Cafe'. :drool

Best place in the world. Had breakfast there every morning.

Yes the weather in Fl. is horrendous during the summer months, but its great in the winter. I thought some of the Stormtroopers were going to pass out in the heat. :thud:

I agree... that night at the Ale house was hot as hell. Walking there from up the block I was already soaked. It was nuts.

I do agree here. I thought I would be hot in the center but I was actually quite cool the entire time and it was very comfortable. OCC rocked :rock
