I would do Celebration again..no matter where it is....but I'm definitely not gonna do the 4 day thing...maybe 2 days.

If it's anywhere outside of Orlando, I'd probably get the 4-day pass just so I have the ability to come and go as I please. If it's in Orlando, I probably will just do a 2-day.

I could handle that. I loved the Orange County Convention Center and the cheap hotels. :rock

I agree there.

Orlando again is very possible. But so are places like Chicago, Baltimore, Dallas, etc.

LFL struck a deal in earnest with the LA Convention Center for more than 1 Celebration starting with C IV, so there are obviously no guarantees until a specific contract is signed with a venue for specific dates. And when that happens word will get out pretty rapidly.

Baltimore was real close to pulling it in this time. Maybe the next. Would work for me as I could drive there.

Ew, I do not like Dallas. Although I would probably go, if only just to see all my freaks again!

Yeah I don't like that idea either but I would go...

Really... why ?

Cuz...i have a feeling there will be repeat panels and same ol same ol SW stuff.

Well they will with some, but they will also add as well. This I do know. And there was actually one of the main stage each day I wanted to see... and those are run by the various guests... so they will change.

I never think there is enough time to do it all.

I wouldn't mind some panel repeats if it allowed me to see stuff I missed out on this time like the digital screenings of all 6 movies. :monkey2

That is true, I would have liked that on the main stage.

I don't think they're keen on doing one in L.A. again. The Moscone in San Francisco would be a no-brainer logistically... but I'm also pretty sure LFL doesn't want 25,000+ SW diehards descending upon their home turf all at once, especially since the outdoor areas of The Letterman Digital Arts Center are technically public property. That could get messy.

There really isn't that much to see outside the buildings. There is pretty good security and I have a feeling the few lobbies the seemed to not require keycard access would require it.

It doesn't matter that there's not much to see. You know lots of fans will still want to go there, take pics next to the Yoda fountain, etc.

I don't think LFL is worried about fans trying to access the inside of the buildings. But even a couple hundred fans gathering on the property at one time would cause logistical headaches. And then you'd also have lots of folks making the drive to Nicasio to stand outside the Ranch. They can't get in there, either... but it'd cause a huge traffic problem on and around Lucas Valley Rd. LFL knows this... so they'll do what they can to avoid it. Holding a SW con in San Francisco would be inviting all kinds of hassles.

Hard to believe we are all clamoring for information about CVI already, and I'm there with you all 100%. Such a great time, although just a bit frustrating with about a month of programming and only one body to try to do it all with. Then of course the lines. I've got to try to go more low key next time like I have in recent years with SDCC. Picking the smaller more intimate presentations can really keep an attendee somewhat sane.

Personally, I will go anywhere in the U.S. for the next Celebration. Vegas would be awesome, but I also like getting out of town too. The only thing that sucks about the travel is Orlando is really five hours flight from here, and on the way back on Sunday I was stuck next to a very bratty kid. Worst flight of my life, seriously.

All that said, the Orange County Convention Center was so much more pleasant than San Diego. What a difference, even the food, the prices, the hotel rates around it. Everything. I mean, seriously, anyone ever try to find a room around SDCC on Saturday night? Well, I pulled a suite on the way out of CV for $99. SDCC? Yeah, right!

I'm cut off (and so is the top of my R2) because I got to the shoot at the last second (schedule conflicts haunted me constantly), but this is still a very cool pic:

I am pretty sure that is all relative, you start having comic con at the Orange County Convention Center trust me, the prices will rise.

I don't think they'd rise nearly to the level of SDCC. Orlando is like Vegas and understands the value to NOT gouging tourists in order to entice them to spread out the spending of their money throughout their stay and also to encourage them to return to the area. They also encourage the hotels to be as cooperative as possible. The opposite of San Diego.

And the OCCC actually had all of their food/beverage vendors give CV attendees a 20% discount off their regular prices over the entire 4 days.

It is a goal of mine to join you guys some day.

I always have that thought myself when I'm in the Droid Builders Area, but I have to restrain myself. I certainly don't have the resources, both monetary and skillwise, to be part of that community. Spoke with many of them, and was looking around for Irish (really wanted to meet you), and they are all so awesome and knowledgeable.

Yes, that was awesome, and the food, like I said before, was so much more edible than SDCC. Really a great experience for me. I'm thinking of forgoing SDCC, saving my pennies, and doing CVI over the top.

I already know I want an upper level ticket, Knight not Master, but have a feeling many others will want them as well now with the way art and GG, etc. are handled. Time will tell.

Can't wait! :panic:

Thats cool that they worked so well with everyone. Makes me really hope they come a bit closer so I can do this just once. Though, I would never choose this over SDCC. That to me is the event of all events.
