Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

Well they do say that from a psychological perspective, people with beards are hiding something.:lecture:lol

I was just watching an old episode of Louie (politically questionable these days I know) and he was eating ice cream in close up and its all getting deep in his beard and it really makes you wonder about the cleanliness of beards, and I seem to remember some study about ***** matter in beards, so maybe your daughter has a point.:dunno

I'm 100% sure Luke's holo-projecta beard was not only nicely trimmed and dark just for Kylo, but also free of ***** matter.

THose sea cows actually lactate beard sanitizer. Luke was just mean-mugging Rey for effect.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

:rotfl

During that scene I started to get worried with all the finger snapping that a dance number was about to break out ala West Side Story.

Star Wars the musical.

It had the distinct aesthetic of an 80's music video to me (missing only an echoing MJ woohoo-hoo-hoo,) and was similarly impervious to any meaningful interpretation.

That's weird that the forum asterisked out where I wrote "f-ecal matter" - or is that only in discussions relating to TLJ?:monkey3

And on the other side of the cave from the haters, we have the lovers.

Pictured from right: Khev (humming "when you're a fan you're fan"), Jye, Junkion and then Khev, Khev, Khev, Khev and Khev.

Seriously what was the point of that whole? Felt like I was in that trippy Winnie the pooh short..

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

It kind of did later with all the Praetorian Glam Guards.

Actually a pretty bad ass gif. Praetorian one of the coolest looking character designs in all of SW.

Well the force was telling her that she was from nobody of significance what only mattered was her and her journey hence the multiple Reys in a straight line path to a mirror.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

No.. The Skywalker saga is now over.

So actually I could end it with owning EP8, since Rian did such a fine job in ending the ST trilogy the way he wanted. JJ will undoubtedly need to jump several years in time to distance itself from TLJ, since like, there are only 5 members of the Resistance left? So unless somehow Leia returns, Luke's crazy force Ghost is still around drinking titty milk, and JJ doesn't find a dignified way to take out Chewie, R2 & 3PO, yes the continuing saga has ended for me.... :)

Besides, after EP8 you guys can have your new Rey Finn & Poe trilogy by Kennedy & Johnson. Doesn't mean I cant like any of the side stories that take place prior to TFA that will be made. I do look forward to an Obi-Wan movie as long as they use Ewan McGregor. And who Knows what or when the Game of Thrones guys trilogy will be. Hopefully they do finally explore the Old Republic. No ties to the ST crap there...

FYI - all milk is "tittie milk"

Actually, now I'm afraid to ask you where you got your milk from!

Yeah, if you actually turn on the subtitles on the Blu Ray they have made that scene a bit clearer:

Actually, some milk is tittie milk, while other milk is teat/udder milk.

Someone made a creative choice to have Luke Skywalker squeeze milk from the human-like nipple of a human-like breast instead of a more animal-like (cow, goat etc.) udder with enlongated teat - which unless you're under the age of 1 (age 8 in California) is where you get your milk from.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

And yes I'm sure you'd love to "move on" as your final attempt to dodge the key issue - a Mod who doggedly actively engaged in heated playground back-and-forths that then turned around to play teacher and hand out detention.

And no, this wasn't "over a year ago" - maybe you have me mixed up with another one of your "infractions for not agreeing with me" incidents.:dunno

Are you just openly lying because you're assuming that I deleted those walls of text that you PM'd me from 2/14/17 to 2/20/17? All the same nonsense that you just posted above is literally sitting in my Inbox. The notion that I targeted you for for mod abuse because you "didn't agree with me" was bull**** then and it's bull**** now.

Holy crap man I told you back *then* to let it go and that's when you had only been throwing a fit about not receiving preferential treatment on account of your stupid Rep bar for only a *week!* And now here you are over *60 weeks* later whining and lying about the same damn thing? This is why it's so hard to take you seriously.

You're obsessed with those stupid green dots and you're obsessed with not looking like a fool or being embarrassed for being infracted and so you'll make up any old crap to save face for weeks, months, and now apparently years. You've got to be kidding. Whether you agree or not that you should have gotten some dumb infractions or had some posts deleted *over a year ago* let it go man. It's just so petty and small to be harboring this crap for so long.

You do know that Snoop and Adoptedscot have deleted some of my own posts right? Who the hell cares man. Life goes on.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

This movie hasnt even got a trailer and this thread is about to get locked already :lol :lol :lol

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

We may as well abandon the thread for the time being. Once Jye & Khev are together it's all :1-1: ... :inlove ... :duff

But you know what? We disagree on Ready Player One and yet...neither one of us have posted a single meme of someone looking confused or a hyperlinked YouTube video to prove the other person wrong. Crazy huh? ;)

That's because the bromance and love you two have for each other over your shared love of TLJ transcends all. No hate/disagreement could ever come between you.

:)

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

ANH - Luke disobeys rebel orders, but follows advice from his mentor

ESB - Luke disobeys Yoda and Ben, loses his hand and nearly his life, becomes a liability during Leia and Lando's escape

ROTJ - not really sure that one fits

TPM - we all know how well training Anakin went

TPM example being followed would negate AOTC and ROTS examples.

Obeying blindly not a good thing, but sometimes you have to put your trust in your allies.

- ANH: Yes, Luke did follow his mentor's advice, but his mentor's advice was to trust his feelings, not the orders from his commanders... there's quite a difference there.
- ESB: the point still stands, Luke went to help his friends, we don't know what would've happened if he hadn't. We can make conjectures, but it's not certain that Lando's plan would've worked without Luke keeping Vader busy.
- ROTJ: as I said, Leia wasn't exactly an authority figure, but the point remains: Luke followed his own heart.
- TPM: again, the lesson is the same: you must follow your instincts... it started off well enough with Anakin's training, and he was the one who saved Naboo. If Qui Gonn hadn't taken him as an apprentice Naboo would've been doomed.

So, there you go.
It is one of the most important themes in SW. The fact that KK and RJ were so hell-bent on destroying the myth of the young (hot-headed male) hero that they disregarded one of the most important themes in SW and turn it on its head just goes to show that they really don't understand what SW is about.

There were no Alien sea cows on my birth planet, nor any other creatures containing the mythical milky elixir of life.

I was instead raised on the purified urine of various animal species. That's why I'm so bitter.
