It really makes you wonder, especially considering the fact that Solo, itself a prequel featuring a major OT character, utterly bombed and it was actually *good.*

From your point of view (but evidently not that of many others!)

But hey, since when has BO performance been indicative of quality.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - December 20, 2019

I can respect that......

But how do you feel about the PT now?

What if it was PT that just came out? And you just watched AOTC? What do you think you would say about it now? At your current age? What would social media have done to AOTC? I wonder.....

Sent from the inside of a giant slug in outer space.....

I saw the PT when I was in my late 20's and mid to late 30's.

IMO all of the PT have one major thing over the ST. A much better imagination. We can say what we want about George but his imagination for this world was perfect. These films are flawed for sure and have way too much CGI but the aliens, planets, costumes, characters, etc.. Are all far more interesting.. Except for Dex.. God I hate Dex.

As for how I would feel now.. Its so hard to say.. I would have to assume there was not a 20 plus year wait for a SW film.. If that was the case yeah I would probably give the films a lot of grief.

TPM was such a weird experience all the way through. I wanted to love it. The hype leading up to it was so much fun. But the film itself at the time was overall a disappointment. However it had things that I loved and still love to this day. Qui Gon, Darth Maul, the Pod Race, Duel of the Fates, and the Emperor's best outing in the PT. All of those things for me outweigh the bad and I actually still find enjoyment in this film.

AOTC - When I saw this film I was just so glad that Jar Jar was not in it I gave it a huge pass. Its an awful movie though. But I would still rather watch it then TLJ because at least I am interested in Obi wan and the overall plot.

ROTS - I really liked it the first time but it has not aged well for me. Still I would rather watch it over the PT.

All in all I like them better then the ST but I will say that the ST are better made films.. Just not better SW films.. In that I never feel like I am taken to a Galaxy far far away. That was always my biggest gripe with TFA. It was great that they used real locations and sets but the film always felt more like it was filmed in my back yard more then on another planet.

I am not going to blame someone for hating the PT.. They are not easy films to defend. I am really not a fan accept that I actually like the most hated of the bunch :lol But the awful characters, missed opportunities, and strange story decisions make the PT just more of a mess and far less enjoyable for me. I don't mind twists and turns and screwing with expectations.. Just tell a good story. I felt both films missed in that department greatly.

Its like I always said. The PT needs Lawrence Kasdan and the ST needs a some George Lucas.

Disney’s been taking it down from various places, so it’s definitely real, though not the ‘official’ movie poster.

Ooh I actually really like Rey's white outfit. Very AOTC Padme-ish. Everybody looks cool actually, even old Lando.

I'm sure he'll be one of the high points. I'm also pretty sure he's totally dead.:lol
