New Star Wars coming = Yeah!

Debbie Downers be damned.

Now I can totally understand talking endlessly about things you love, but I don't understand how, if some of you truly revile these new movies, I just don't get how you can go on and on about it. I'd think you'd want to move on to something more positive, not just roll around in the muck day after day after day.

I mean if you really, truly despise these movies, I would think it wouldn't be worthy of your time or waste of breath in discussion.

The constant negative drumbeat just keeps clanging and clanging. I kind of feel bad when I think, if somebody truly hates these movies, why would they devote so much time and energy to thinking about them?

P.S. Khev, thanks for sharing! Trying not to feel snubbed at the non mention. ;)

That's because they spent so much time and energy with the original movies and characters. So for someone like Rian Johnson to come in and s**t on everything that's come before, that doesn't sit well with most fans.

The fact that only some people are hyped for this and the trailer only hit 25 mil views says a lot. But I’m glad that jye, khev, xiopc and apj and some others are excited. Hope the movie makes them happy

This exactly. It’s like watching someone you love and or admire get *****, murdered, and then set on fire in front of you and having to watch them turn to ash. You are not going to just say “oh well I guess I’ll just move on”. You are going to rage against the dying of their light with every last breath about the injustice of it all.

KHEV's team..YAY!!

Its like a cult, they shoud wear the same T-shirts with beloved motto on the back "THE FORCE IS FEMALE" on the film launching day :lol.

I've made many posts on how 1999 was the last truly spectacular year for movies. I think it was Wor-Gar specifically that told me I was full of crap, so it's nice to see some other movie buffs agree with me.

But I know I'm an old curmudgeon. Movies are just plain too stupid and dumbed down and repetitive for me to enjoy anymore. I haven't TRULY loved a new movie in over 15 years I think.

I still hold out hope that we'll have a Renaissance like we did that glorious year of '99, but it's not gonna come from mainstream Hollywood with their big giant action movies dumbed down to the point of retardation so Chinese audiences won't be "bored."

I know Hollywood is a big part of the problem, of course, but I'll fully admit the other part is ME. Even when a movie is great on every level, like Infinity War, I sit there and I think "oh that was cool." and then I just go on with my life. I'm just not a kid anymore. Movies are most likely NEVER going to affect me like they did.

I can pretty much guarantee there's no way a movie or trailer for a movie is ever going to make me bawl and snot like that loathsome soy boy in his reaction video. I can get misty eyed if something is really powerful, but I can't imagine ever blubbering like that.

Well, 1999 was a significant year for SW fans too... when a much-anticipated SW teaser hit the internet, teasing a legend for a new generation, everyone pumped for what that film might bring to the SW canon...

Jokes aside, Khev's got a good YT "host" presence - he should do more vids.

I have said this many many times before, especially after TLJ and certain folks, many whom have left, would always pop in and derail the conversation of the people who were discussing the plot and film. They basically kept posting why it sucked, why they hated it, why they were ********....etc etc. Then they wondered why people got pissed off, and they got banned over and over. I am not talking about a few posts about how much they hated it, I am talking about non stop multiple daily posting of crapping on the film.

They always went back to their “passion” for the franchise has made them so angry and disappointed they had to vent....which of course usually ending up “venting” on the fans who liked it.

Its a strange phenomenon , but for quite a few years, trashing stuff is the only thing people respond to. We are in a n age where trash talk, being critical and dismissive is popular.

I have said this before also, Youtube is way over saturated with “10 things wrong with” and “ all the mistakes of” videos.

But it seems to be what a large segment of the media going public wants and emulates.

Over reaction much??? Comparing a disappointing film to murder and ****?

Come on man.

I sat through the PT in real time. 3 films....never could I compare a crappy film with personal assaults, violations and death.

Guess your just a bigger/better/truer fan than me......

Ok I might have been a bit hyperbolic. I was taking it more metaphorically as if the characters I knew, grew up with, and watched develop had died. Like they were gone and replaced with a weak carbon copy of their former selves.

It just made me sad to see what had become of our heroes and what led to their individual nihilism. Very depressing.

I still love Star Wars though. I love the OT and the PT. I still watch those movies like I always have over and over again every year and still buy the merchandise. Nothing will change that. But I don’t have to like the new movies and I don’t have to buy the new merchandise from those movies to prove I still love Star Wars. It’s just not for me. And that’s ok too. But if someone asks like the person did earlier in this thread what I think went wrong I will respond.

Nope no snub! I easily could have mentioned you and others as well but I deliberately tried to keep the list of names short because if I mentioned 10-15 peeps and still missed someone then they would have really felt snubbed, lol. I was just winging it and thought it'd be fun to throw out a small handful of names at the end but there were definitely others I could have easily mentioned and maybe I will on the next video. ;)

The people I love were all *****,murdered, and set on fire in front of me and I saw them turn to ashes. What Rían Johnson did was much worse tho.

All right for the fun of it I present to you the Khev TROS trailer reaction. I must say these are much harder to make than they look, lol.

Great stuff Khev.... I am not nearly as pumped as you are. I know half the reason I like the trailer is the music.... Idk if I could ever do a reaction video either... I, like you, am too busy watching the video :lol...

Speaking of younglings lets break down Vader’s saber achievements against other Jedi’s shall we:

ANH: Kills old man Obi-Wan
ESB: Doesn’t kill anyone with his saber but easily beats untrained Luke
ROTJ: Doesn’t kill anyone with his saber and loses to Luke in a saber fight

TPM: No Vader
AOTC: Not Vader yet regardless doesn’t kill any Jedi’s and actually loses to Dooku in a saber fight
ROTS: Kills prisoner Dooku BUT NOT AS VADER! Finally kills as Vader BUT younglings and neimodians!

RO: Kills only rebel soldiers in a super bad *** scene BUT still only rebel soldiers.

So after 7 freaking movies the ONLY trained Jedi master Vader ever killed was old man Obi-Wan!!! :lol

Will we ever see Vader kill other trained Jedi masters other than Obi-Wan?

Will IX be the movie to show Vader actually taking on Jedi masters?

Thanks JAWS! And I'm pumped for TROS right now because of how I'm connecting the dots. My assumptions could turn out to be quite wrong obviously. Just because Palpatine laughed in the trailer doesn't mean he'll have any real significant presence in the film. Luke narrated the entire second TFA trailer and they showed his hand on R2 and then he didn't actually do or say anything in the movie itself.

So part of me is braced for the rude awakening that Kylo is simply trying to resurrect Palpatine in TROS or something with nothing actually happening. Could all be a big tease.

We'll see of course but for now I'll enjoy the beautiful cinematography of the trailer, Lando's hint that there will be a good amount of "fun," and of course the possibility that Palpatine's spirit turns out to be very much alive, pulling the strings all along, with a final confrontation that destroys him once and for all. Because if that happens then I know I'll be blown away.

If it doesn't happen then I'll just peruse the aisles of Target for Mandalorian figures instead, lol.

Word is, he is back in the flesh, and has a ROTJ level role.

Someone has to kill Lando.
