Even with being a SW nut myself and a defender of the ST especially when it comes to Luke it needs to be said that the very vocal complaints against the ST are fully legitimate and logically sound these are not the ramblings of some racist and misogynists people these are coming from some very hardcore passionate SW fans who witnessed their own loving relationship with the brand unfortunately turn into a love hate relationship with it.

TROS might as well just be episode 7 all over again it?s literally having to start over lol

However I will be there still excited to witness whatever may come our way and more than likely dressed like ObiWan lol

But I did just read a comment on social media saying that Disney failed both SW AND Marvel.

If the MCU is a failure then i?m freaking Ezra Miller searching for Brian Singer?s pool party invitation.

Funny how the "so-called" got dropped from "backlash" pretty fast.

Along with the "small number of vocal fans" thing. And the insults seem to have evaporated too - "neckbeards," "toxic old fans" etc.

Every article about SW talks about deep fan division now as a real, present and widespread thing.

I did read that Bob Igor is shelving all the Star Wars movie projects for the next several years. The only new Star Wars stuff will get will be from their streaming service. I find the timing of the announcement a little surprising considering Rise of Skywalker hasen't come out yet. Makes me wonder if they're not getting good feedback on RoS from the early test screenings.

That?s what I always loved about ANH/ESB both me and Ted Bundy could appreciate it?s greatness it really brought people together.

If I had to pick which of the 2 craps I prefer I would easily EASILY choose the ST though.

PT can go take the piss they can?t even compete at the cartoon level lol

A cheap ass freaking cartoon from Tartakovsky represented a better Clone Wars, Jedi order, GG, freaking battle droids (roger roger was actually menacing in that) and Anakin!

I wouldn?t be surprised that Lucas pulled the cartoon due to being embarrassed or jealous.

Man does that cartoon kick ass lol

Saw the TROS trailer with Dark Fate and my wife was like "what a great trailer."

I told her all you need for a great SW trailer is five things:

-- a few multi-ship space battle shots (unique shots like ice islands in space or horses on those spaceships are a plus,)
-- call out moments for OT fave characters,
-- tease of a lightsaber battle,
-- V.O. (often MH) speaking about force or self-help mumbo-jumbo,
-- riffs on JW OT music.

And boom - great SW trailer, regardless of story content. Because there is little to no sense at all what the story of TROS is based on the trailer.
