I can guarantee Ep9 does at least 1 Billion worldwide. If anything, the marketing has ramped up a ton recently. All I see are TV spots for this.

Fans like me -- and many of us -- don't matter in the grand scheme of things. Casual fans, families, little kids who just want First Order Stormtrooper Lego -- that's who's paying the bills.

I expect this film to rake in a huge amount of cash and as we all know, profit does not equal quality. And many of us can never agree on what 'quality' means for a sugary, salty pop-cultural diversion like the Star Wars mythos.

It is what it is because it ain't what it should be.

Yeah, I'd expect the last chapter to make some serious bucks. And breaking a billion is hardly a watershed accomplishment anymore. Hell, R-rated Joker did it without China.... if Star Wars doesn't make a billion dollars with China, that would be laughable and a very strong message to the current people in charge.

Either way, as Willy Wonka says, the suspense is terrible. I hope it will last.

Idk, maybe I'm in the minority of the fanbase, but I'm really hyped for this film. Like I haven't been this excited since ROTS back in 2005. This is the conclusion to the saga! But I understand if people are down on this. This has been a divisive trilogy.

Its got a lot to sort out for me if I'm going to enjoy it. Not even ROTS had this much work to do to re-involve me after AOTC.

I'm more curious how the Mandalorian series will end its first season.

That's a great perspective, it has been divisive. I was more hyped for The Force Awakens because of the return of Han, Leia (and what I thought was going to be Luke). A little down on TLJ and cautious about TROS. I hope that I come out of it thrilled though.

Same. Maybe it will follow the Pt formula. Be ok, then hated , then liked again. If I recall people started loving the PT after rots. While not perfect the movie redeemed the bad taste attack of the clones left

Yeah!! I used to reload the film's home page every afternoon for a year looking for new info, screenshots, clips, etc. And I would rewatch the trailers daily too. So much hype and it was amazing. Its probably the star wars film I've rewatched the most. I'm rewatching tonight for my saga marathon! Very excited.

This movie is going to be amazing or a ****ing train wreck. There is absolutely zero wiggle room.
I'm definitely looking forward to it, but it's only a week away, and I can't say I'm as psyched as I have been in the past. And I liked TLJ.

Forgot this movie comes out next week. I will be absolutely surprised if this touches a billion. The hype is little to nonexistent. I don?t even see that many tvspots

I strained to find a showing with 2 seats together that weren't in the front row for any showing next weekend for my wife and I, it's pre-selling out, I'm sure it'll make big money. Even fans who had a sour tasted on the franchise from TLJ are still going to go to see how they choose to close this all out, that's my motivation, I'm not excited, but I'm curious, and I've spent so much of my life invested in the Skywalker story, it's almost like Endgame, I just want to see the finale.
