What do you mean? Would you be shipping a lightsaber with a blade already attached? Or just the parts?

It will come with the blade attached to the lightsaber hilt, all assembled.

But it would be cheaper if you have the Hasbro lightsaber hilt, so I don't have to go buy one.

PM sent- Something tells me there's going to be a run on Hasbro lightsaber hilts:lol .

Could you do it with the unlit lightsaber hilt from SS? I personally don't ever plan on displaying any of my Jedi without the saber so the unlit saber will never come out of the box.

Sideshow, again, please consider making your own accessory line of these cathode sabers!!! :)

The problem with the current Sideshow hilts is that they are too narrow to fit the wires through (especially Lukes). So I don't think modifying the unlit saber hilt would work. But I was looking at the Master Replicas Luke ROTJ Hilt and it appears proportionally thicker (or stubbier) than Sideshow's version. So Sideshow could release a thicker version for their unlit line and the hilt would still look good.

Take a look at the master replica's version here:

actually that lightsaber isnt that thick... i own one and dont think its that large. inffact, when i started collecting the 1:1 hilts the first thing i thought upon receiving the first one was "these are smaller than they look on the screen"
the hasbro versions do look like they would be easier to use the EL stuff with.

Yeah you are probably right, but do you see how the edge of the control box (with the bronze grill), for instance, is thinner on the Sideshow version?

I also noticed that one of the pockets on Han Solo's belt isn't to exact scale on the SS 12" version.

I was planning to destroy that by getting the smallest diameter copper pipe my local hobby store sells and replacing the "core" of the lightsaber with that - so I'd pinch the outer parts from the SS one. I wish I could cast as I'd prefer to do it with a cast rather than the original just in case I bugger it up.

Yeah, I've looking into casting, but it is a complicated endeavor that isn't a cheap investment either.

Fantastic stuff here Duckgoo. I'm glad I keept my old Hasbro hilts, you might be getting an email from me sometime in the future.

Have you tried 'fixing' PF Vader's saber?

I could probably "fix" that if I had a PF Vader. The PF stuff is too rich for my blood.

I might do this sometime but right now I've gotta save money for my computer. It's surprisingly hard to find the right 12inch Hasbro figure on ebay now, I was trying to see if anyone was selling a Sidious saber but there's barely anything on ebay regarding the Hasbro 12" figures.

you are right... even the one's on ebay arent worth buying. for what some of them cost its crazy to pay that when you are just gonna cannibalize the lightsaber.

Guys - unless you already have some Hasbro lightsaber hilts, I don't think the price will be reasonable. It will cost me $20 to get a Hasbro figure off Ebay including shipping just to cannibalize the lightsaber. Then I have to add the cost of the electronics. You are probably looking at the price of a SS figure when it is done just for the parts alone.

I haven't been able to find any 12" Hasbro figures for cheap anywhere. My local toy stores have long sold out.

I put the green Luke lightsaber on Ebay at cost if anyone is interested.
