I'm teetering on OWK Vader. I feel like every time I look at that crackhead on my shelf, all I will remember is how bad that show was. Little Leia running, etc...

Cad Bane did nothing wrong in BoBF. He was the best thing in it.
I'll pretend it's Rebels Vader looking in a mirror :lol

Regardless on thoughts on Rebels/OWK show - the scenes where Ahsoka and Obi-Wan, respectively, break Vader's mask and realize who they're actually dealing with, are top moments in not only the show, but in Star Wars. Matt Lanter and Hayden both killed those scenes. It's a cool look for Vader and it makes for a cool looking figure. Don't stress over what the media it happened in was.

Place the order while you can, it'll look great when you have it. That's what matters.

The scene where he strolls into Free Town, lays down the law and mercs the Marshal and his deputy was the highlight of the entire show for me.
Seeing that silhouette approach and realising my main man Cobb was in serious trouble had me feeing some genuine anxiety.

It’s so rare to feel anything in most of these shows because you know that nothing bad can happen the majority of the time. Why would I feel any jeopardy for Obi Wan being chased by Vader 10 years before he eventually allows himself to die? Oh no, some clumsy, incompetent males are after Leia! I wonder if she’ll be ok…

It’s a real testament to Andor for making that jail breakout as engaging as it was. God bless Andy Serkis.

That lack of suspense was my problem with the prequels too.

Yep that's arguably the best bit !!!

Who knew that Australia's anal rule for batteries would finally push Hot Toys to doing USB powered LED lightsabers and bases !
I'd actually love it if they did some kind of app thing through your phone for the lighting...but I'm happy with usb...

What's the verdict on the comparison between this and the 40th ROTJ anniversary edition? Cod piece looks way better on the latter.

Cod piece is the only superior part, and is easily replaceable if you don't like it. The Obi-Wan Vader looks close to the Rogue One release, which I vastly prefer to the ESB Vader. ROTJ looks like it has the same issues as ESB, droopy helmet and stout body. But I am impressed with the number of hands on the ROTJ. I’ll stick with my Obi-Wan Vader preorder.

Holding out for the full Hayden headsculpt on the inevitable ROTS anniversary version. ROTJ Shaw hs scratches the Vader itch sufficiently for now.

Same here! I would never display him with the Shaw sculpt anyway, but I think the sliced helmet with Hayden sculpt looks awesome.

Droopy helmet ? Stout body ? Sorry i'm new to the HT game.

I guess the Shaw HS makes sense if only care about the OT and disregard everything else. Otherwise I think the Hayden sculpt makes a lot more sense.

There are several minor differences across all the Hot Toys Vaders that add up to a significant overall difference in proportions. ESB had a long “mouth grill” section of the helmet and larger eyes than either the ANH or R1 sculpts. Also the R1 had longer legs, making it look better proportionally. ESB also had larger shoulder armor making the arms appear stubbier, giving it a T-rex appearance in my eyes.

i pre-ordered kenobi vader today. I had been waiting for HT to reveal the ROTJ version with he hopes that they would have shrunken down the quarter scale helmet. Seeing that they are using the long faced ESB helmet and stubby body, i know that the Kenobi Vader will look a lot better on the shelf. It is truly disappointing because the ROTJ Vader was probably the last chance to nail the OT Vader helmet. Which they did with the quarter scale!
