"almost identical"? Damn man, no way I can agree with that. Her new face is extremely long and flat, like a horse. I don't like that they changed the patterns on her lekku either.

I just don't see how you can go from this:

To this:

Also, how long is it supposed to have been since her last appearance in Clone Wars? How long does Rebels take place after Episode 3? She was still very young in Clone Wars and I can't imagine her lekku and horns growing out that much in what I believe to be under ten years.

We saw an older Ahsoka Clone wars, which IMO was an infinitely better design. I wish they would have gone with that, but maybe a bit younger.

She's in her probably mid teens in clone wars. Say it's been 10 years since the end of it. Do you know how different an ordinary person can look going from 15 or 16 to 25-26? Quite a lot so I wouldn't say it's out of the realm of possibility. And as for her longer face, it's like I said, they've gone with a whole new design aesthetic for the show. Just look at obi wan in rebels. He looks nothing like the clone wars obi wan.

And also its certainly been long enough that Tarkin went completely grey.

I know someone's appearance can change a great deal with age, but this is far beyond that IMO. There is nothing about her that resembles Clone Wars Ahsoka other than her facial markings. Nothing. The entire head is completely reshaped.

I had no idea Obi-Wan was in it, and wow, you're right, he looks completely different as well. He actually looks younger than he did in Clone Wars.

I guess it is just the "new design aesthetic". It's a shame though, as I think they looked 100x better in Clone Wars and the animation styles are close enough you'd think they could pull it off. Oh well.

Yeah, 20 years between ROTS and ANH and with Rebels taking place 5 years before ANH, that's 15 years at the very minimum. And I'm 30 right now and when I look at my middle school yearbook when all my friends were only ~14, I'd say a good majority don't even look anything like they did back then.

Who freaking cares about different animated styles. Boba Fett Holiday Special cartoon, Droids/Ewoks series, Clone Wars microseries, Clone Wars regular series, and Star Wars Rebels. They get to have their own looks.

Watched the finale again, this time with my kids who had lost interest in the show after only a few episodes and they were riveted. They were shocked at the first surprise cameo and then again at the second one that came just a couple minutes later.

Just saw the finale! Heck yes!!!! Finally!

So to expand, I loved seeing Tarkin in the last 2 episodes, he felt really badass in a calm way and I dug in the end of the finale when he talks to the military guy and you can see a glimpse of "I guess you were right and I underestimated those rebels" (maybe it's just me).

Seeing Snips was awesome, I really didn't expect even when she came down the ladder I thought it was going to be Kanan's Master at first.
Obviously Vader had me squeal. It's high time, you can't have a series taking place between ep III and IV and not have Vader in it. I hope Jones voices him but we'll see.

I also dug the way the Inquisitor goes "there are scarier things than death". It has a lot of foreshadowing which I love and though maybe he meant he'd rather die than face the Emperor's wrath.
And I do hope the Emperor comes 'back' though my guess is they're looking for a good voice actor for him since Abercrombie passed away and they really used Tim Curry as a last minute save that didn't really fit and most didn't like.

In any case I hope they're in a good groove and Season looks promising. I'm in for sure!

How awesome would it be if Rex ended up being another one of the rebels.
Maybe he already has shown up, but is just unrecognizable in his updated design. :monkey3

Seriously though that would be awesome, and I could see that happen since he was probably the most popular Clone Wars character after Ahsoka. I'd like to see more of Ventress as well.

My kids were the same way. After watching the finale, they now can't wait for season 2 to start.

Jones is voicing Vader and they have cast this guy for the Emperor.

I'm also interested in who Sarah Michelle Gellar is going to end up voicing.

Sam witwer is big in star wars. He was the voice and character model for Starkiller in the force unleashed games and he was Maul in the later seasons of clone wars. His palpatine impression was actually pretty good. But that being said it's an impression and one line. I hope he can kill it as the emperor though.

Sam Witwer is such a cool guy and a true fan, I'd love to see him more involved with the franchise.

You guys should listen to him on the saga movie commentaries on the RebelForce Radio podcast. His "Arnold Schawarzenegger in Star Wars" impressions are hilarious. But he also has a ton of insight and has a way of defending certain "problems" within the prequels, but in a very fair point of view.

Finally got around to seeing the finale. I missed a lot of episodes, checking in here and there but I loved the finale. Loved the lightsaber duel and am actually looking forward to being more active with season 2, they definitely peaked my interest again.
