I'm still on episode 4, but now I don't have to wait week to week and can zip through them all in a weekend. ;)

Wow. Season 2 looks fantastic. I love the heavy Vader presence and can't wait for him to meet up with Ashoka eventually.

Looks like theyre trying to shore up the weak spots from season 1 and how much better can you do in the enemy department than Vader himself? :yess:

Makes me wonder if the show is underperforming since they're pulling in the popular characters from Clone Wars. I loved the Rebels concept from the start, but was surprised by the poor execution in season one.

Well as much I hate TCW... I wonder if and I mean if a more Clone trooper as a Stormtrooper Commander will go head to head with Rex and his boys. Be funny if Cody vs Fat Rex.

I was looking at Rex... well I hope he isn't pervy now...

I want to know who is voicing the Emperor in that trailer? Sounds amazing. And I am absolutely thrilled to have James Earl Jones Vader back. It's been far too long.

Trailer looks good, but I can't help the feeling that every good scene from the season is stuffed in there. Has Disney announced their plan for the length of this series? And is it generally assumed that all the characters will die by the time the conclusion comes around? That's the issue with prequels when you don't use characters that are known to be alive in the original production.

I thought the season 2 trailer looked AMAZING! I do hope the don't overuse Vader though, I don't want to see the rebels slip through his fingers on a week to week basis.

All I've heard is 'a few' seasons, then they'll do another animated show in the sequel trilogy timeline. This will probably be around until Rogue One releases. I'd love if this was the lead up to it, and have a few of these guys pop in the Live Action universe. Hope those Sabine rumors are true.

Couldnt' find a premiere date for Season 2 but read this: Star Wars Rebels season two begins this summer with a one-hour movie event and continues this fall with all-new episodes on Disney XD.

'Review' of the premiere.

Fans attending Star Wars Celebration Anaheim were treated to the one-hour movie event as well as the season one finale that preceded it.

In Rebels Recon’s “Fire Across the Galaxy” interview with Freddie Prinze, Jr., he said, “Season two starts literally right where you want it to and it’s just perfect.”

He was right.

Without going into too much detail, season two kicks off with an action-packed episode with some in the rebel crew finding it hard to adjust with the rest of the alliance. Things quickly turn on one familiar character, forcing the rebel crew to assist. In doing so, they encounter an enemy far greater in strength than the Inquisitor they had faced before.

To put it plainly, the one-hour movie blew my mind. When season one was airing on Disney XD, I personally felt that the episodes got better and better each week. The introduction to season two was no different and the crew took the story to another level. The focus primarily remained on the Ghost crew members and less on the new characters previously introduced in the Rebels Recon preview, but I’m sure future episodes will continue to explore characters like Commander Sato and the Phoenix Squadron. Overall, I think the premiere will make a lot of fans very happy and I look forward to sharing that experience with them later this summer.

edit - came across this quote from an article about Rogue One.

They confirmed that Felicity Jones will be playing a Rebel in a band of Rebels in the film. Edwards said that it will be realistic and gritty, and that the franchise is called “Star WARS.” It also won’t feature Jedi, instead focusing on people without powers having to step up to save the galaxy. As Star Wars Rebels also takes place during this part of the timeline, they acknowledged that there were “opportunities” for the two to have connections.

No Jedi means no Kanan or Ezra, but otherwise... :yess:

Do we need any Sith at all? I didn't get the impression at the end of Ep.3 nor from anything in the OT, that Vader was not the absolute ONLY Sith working with/for the emperor. They should keep it that way. No Jedi powers for anyone except the protagonists.
