Loved seeing Rex and Wolf. Vader sounds great. A season to really look forward to.
Season 2 looks great. Is the Vader voice James Earl Jones? I wasn't 100% sure on that one
When is season two set for premiere?
Trailer looks good, but I can't help the feeling that every good scene from the season is stuffed in there. Has Disney announced their plan for the length of this series? And is it generally assumed that all the characters will die by the time the conclusion comes around? That's the issue with prequels when you don't use characters that are known to be alive in the original production.
Fans attending Star Wars Celebration Anaheim were treated to the one-hour movie event as well as the season one finale that preceded it.
In Rebels Recon’s “Fire Across the Galaxy” interview with Freddie Prinze, Jr., he said, “Season two starts literally right where you want it to and it’s just perfect.”
He was right.
Without going into too much detail, season two kicks off with an action-packed episode with some in the rebel crew finding it hard to adjust with the rest of the alliance. Things quickly turn on one familiar character, forcing the rebel crew to assist. In doing so, they encounter an enemy far greater in strength than the Inquisitor they had faced before.
To put it plainly, the one-hour movie blew my mind. When season one was airing on Disney XD, I personally felt that the episodes got better and better each week. The introduction to season two was no different and the crew took the story to another level. The focus primarily remained on the Ghost crew members and less on the new characters previously introduced in the Rebels Recon preview, but I’m sure future episodes will continue to explore characters like Commander Sato and the Phoenix Squadron. Overall, I think the premiere will make a lot of fans very happy and I look forward to sharing that experience with them later this summer.
They confirmed that Felicity Jones will be playing a Rebel in a band of Rebels in the film. Edwards said that it will be realistic and gritty, and that the franchise is called “Star WARS.” It also won’t feature Jedi, instead focusing on people without powers having to step up to save the galaxy. As Star Wars Rebels also takes place during this part of the timeline, they acknowledged that there were “opportunities” for the two to have connections.
Do we need any Sith at all? I didn't get the impression at the end of Ep.3 nor from anything in the OT, that Vader was not the absolute ONLY Sith working with/for the emperor. They should keep it that way. No Jedi powers for anyone except the protagonists.
