Sam witwer is big in star wars. He was the voice and character model for Starkiller in the force unleashed games and he was Maul in the later seasons of clone wars. His palpatine impression was actually pretty good. But that being said it's an impression and one line. I hope he can kill it as the emperor though.
Who freaking cares about different animated styles. Boba Fett Holiday Special cartoon, Droids/Ewoks series, Clone Wars microseries, Clone Wars regular series, and Star Wars Rebels. They get to have their own looks.
So the general consensus is after 11 "meh" episodes, Season 2 is highly anticipated now, right?
Ahsoka seems like she'll be a game changer too, unless she will only appear sporadically to send them on missions or something. She strikes me as much more powerful than Kanan considering the foes she faced in TCW.
She never makes it to ANH
See here is the thing. I really like Kanan. He arguably is one of my favorite Jedi that have been created out of these EU conceptuals but if ANY of them live through ANH, even if it a plot device where they are hidden or fold into the Alliance and hide their Jedi tactics, etc. It waters down the whole "Last of the Jedi" angle that Luke had, it turns it into a "The Last of the Jedi that we knew about or could find," kind of thing.
I'm not sure if that will go over well.

One thing I could see them doing so that people/kids don't have to experience the trauma of watching Vader skewer Ahsoka would be to somehow make it known (depending on how much Rebels will overlap with ANH) that she was on Alderaan when it blew. We've already seen her working in tandem with Bail Organa so maybe that's where she'll meet her fate.
That's actually not a bad idea... in fact they could put any of the characters on Alderaan if they like.
Kanan isn't really a Jedi though. He may have been a padawan at one time, but I am fairly certain he never passed any Jedi trials. He also clearly has some emotional baggage from having run away from Jedi life, so I think he has some work to do before he can rightly call himself a Jedi.
True, but in a way the "other" which turned out to be Leia did that already. And even though Tarkin says "you are all that exists of their religion" we already knew that as he said that he was wrong because Ben Kenobi was alive and well at that very moment. I could see them letting Ahsoka and Kanan living because ROTJ established that Jedi aren't a threat to the Emperor per se, but that if "Anakin Skywalker had any offspring, they would be a threat to him." So Luke (and Leia) would still be "special" on account of being Vader's offspring.
