I was watching some videos where witwer was just totally freestlying Palpatine and he sounds awesome. Get him in front of a Mic with a script and I think he'll be a perfect Palpatine.

Sam witwer is big in star wars. He was the voice and character model for Starkiller in the force unleashed games and he was Maul in the later seasons of clone wars. His palpatine impression was actually pretty good. But that being said it's an impression and one line. I hope he can kill it as the emperor though.

He was the voice of the Emperor in Force Unleashed also.

Who freaking cares about different animated styles. Boba Fett Holiday Special cartoon, Droids/Ewoks series, Clone Wars microseries, Clone Wars regular series, and Star Wars Rebels. They get to have their own looks.

So the general consensus is after 11 "meh" episodes, Season 2 is highly anticipated now, right? :lol

If the Inquisitor is out and Tarkin/Vader are in, that will already make it much better. I also want to see more of Bail Organa.

Ahsoka seems like she'll be a game changer too, unless she will only appear sporadically to send them on missions or something. She strikes me as much more powerful than Kanan considering the foes she faced in TCW.

I feel like she was shoehorned in because she is Anakin's apprentice so I'm wondering what her true role will be there. She never makes it to ANH unless they figure out something to skip the whole original trilogy so I feel like she is there just to have the big moment when Vader takes her out. So I think she'll impart some apprentice reasoning to Ezra but overall she have not a huge impact because everything we know is coming is in motion.

I'm interested to see if Disney will allow further changes to the OT and they figure out how to simply keep liked characters past that time period to jump them into the stuff afterwards? I don't want that to happen but I think it's completely possible...

Asoka can serve as more “real estate” on Vader’s conscience after he (presumably) strikes her down. this action will haunt and torment him until he ultimately chooses a different path when concerning his son. perhaps her execution will be Vader's "seed" to redemption.

See here is the thing. I really like Kanan. He arguably is one of my favorite Jedi that have been created out of these EU conceptuals but if ANY of them live through ANH, even if it a plot device where they are hidden or fold into the Alliance and hide their Jedi tactics, etc. It waters down the whole "Last of the Jedi" angle that Luke had, it turns it into a "The Last of the Jedi that we knew about or could find," kind of thing.

I'm not sure if that will go over well.

Kanan isn't really a Jedi though. He may have been a padawan at one time, but I am fairly certain he never passed any Jedi trials. He also clearly has some emotional baggage from having run away from Jedi life, so I think he has some work to do before he can rightly call himself a Jedi.

True, but in a way the "other" which turned out to be Leia did that already. And even though Tarkin says "you are all that exists of their religion" we already knew that as he said that he was wrong because Ben Kenobi was alive and well at that very moment. I could see them letting Ahsoka and Kanan living because ROTJ established that Jedi aren't a threat to the Emperor per se, but that if "Anakin Skywalker had any offspring, they would be a threat to him." So Luke (and Leia) would still be "special" on account of being Vader's offspring.

One thing I could see them doing so that people/kids don't have to experience the trauma of watching Vader skewer Ahsoka would be to somehow make it known (depending on how much Rebels will overlap with ANH) that she was on Alderaan when it blew. We've already seen her working in tandem with Bail Organa so maybe that's where she'll meet her fate.

That's actually not a bad idea... in fact they could put any of the characters on Alderaan if they like.

Yeah it's actually a pretty easy option for them to use to eliminate any number of characters introduced on the show that are otherwise absent from the OT. It would also give Tarkin quite the victory over any that pester him in the current series.

True, it'd still be interesting to see him survive on a technicality. It'd be interesting if a spin-off occurred with Kanan set after ROTJ in live-action but I have a feeling that even Disney hasn't thought that far through.

I guess that is true...from a certain point of view :lol If they move Jedi past ROTJ and have them open it definitely opens the doors for spin-offs and other things but who knows if that is even in the grand plan. I have a feeling we'll see Vader eliminate them all.

It's a good thought but I have a feeling as loved as Ahsoka is, if they were to end the series and have her killed off it'd be a grand affair, it'd be something heroic and memorable.

I need to go back and watch the last bits of TCW. I missed a lot of it but I was quite impressed to see Ashoka again and hope they do some cool stuff with her character.

Captain Rex & Commander Wolffe :rock I can see all the people already complaining about how they've aged but remember, clones have accelerated growth and I can see them being grizzled Vets by the time rebels happens. No clude who that is on the bottom pic.
