Wow reading some of this is really interesting.

I cannot imagine seeing Luke first as the hidden child of Anakin and Padme.....I feel like I might not be the same Star Wars fan of my perception came from that angle.

Hmm, not sure I agree. Current cinema *** symbols like Gal Gadot, Margot Robbie, ScarJo, Emilia Clarke, Zoe Saldana, etc., don't come across as plasticky to me.

TFA will be the top domestic earner forever. No way it's getting retconned.

Best you can hope for is some sort of animated "What if" series on D+ where they show some alternate non-canon version of ST events.

Best course of action for all the haters is to swallow the fact that it is canon, and that those of us who love them will never need to pretend anything otherwise.

BUT...there's no reason you all can't just do what we've always done, IGNORE WHAT YOU DON'T LIKE. (I'm not addressing this part to you ZE_501 as I know you're already doing that right now.)

Stop caring so much about what is official canon. You're always going to be left with frustration if you do. Take what you like, ignore the rest. The ST happened. It will never unhappen. That's just the way it is. Mando will eventually connect to that era if they go long enough. All you can do is accept it or pick your jumping off point. Fortunately for the haters Favreau and company *did* provide a nice jumping off point just this week for those of you need one.

Baby Yoda movie would absolutely destroy it. Now a Baby Yoda movie with Din, Luke, Ahsoka... even you know it would break records.

Star Wars is back as THE pop culture of the time. Star Wars is cool again.

Where are all the new Rey comic books and novels following her story and the galaxies after TROS?

Where is all the Rey merchandise?

Why hasn’t Disney committed to a massive mass media project following their story?

Ohh, I know why.

It’s because Rey isn’t even 1/10th as marketable or popular as Grogu, Din, Luke, Ahsoka, etc... it’s because it doesn’t sell... and it’s because Disney is actively planning the retcon of the ST.

There is no other explanation.

My son and I just watched ANH:SE and ESB:SE. First off WOW the 4K on those new discs is just glorious. That's one undeniable benefit of watching the SE's, no question, especially with them *finally* having the proper color correction.

In addition to just appreciating the transfers themselves I must say that after Mando this was probably the most fun I've had watching the updated versions of those movies. The fact that Mando even included "Maclunkey" in the King Fett bit just makes it too funny to really be mad at in ANH at this point, lol. Also for literally the first time ever I actually kind of liked hearing TM's voice in Empire just because of the Mando tie-in. I almost can't believe it, a true Christmas miracle, lol.

EDIT: Oh and before both ANH and ESB we revisited RO in 4K since we just wrapped up Rebels. Still a 10/10 SW flick IMO, just awesome.

That is a new bonus.

Truth is, they've beaten me down because I've gotten used to Boba's new voice after all this time.

If I replay Empire in my head though from memory, I still hear Wingreen.

4k SW is the reason I probably wont go back to the other versions.
