I have no idea what this is...

Looks like a weequay. Star Wars likes making familial connections so he could be Hondo's ancestor...

Love Asta, but I was wtf am I looking at? That's a picture of a wall, a room? Then he mentions it's the clearest frame of Tak Reynolds :dunno
I'm not well versed in SW outside of the OT. I'm not good at that either.🤣

You didn't watch the episode?

It's a hologram of Tak Rennod sitting in his skull throne, but Disney made sure to obscure his face bar a few clearer frames.

Naw, 90% of the stuff all you folk talk about (especially SW) I've never seen. I don't stream or download. I haven't seen Andor, Mandalorian, Fett books, Acolyte, etc. I enjoy reading your conversations. People's take on things interest me. I wouldn't have said anything If Wor hadn't responded. There is so much SW content that it's initial affect on me has been lost.

Yeah I was like, "Clearest view of Tak Rennod?" Clear to who?? :lol

Asta, I finally saw him in that pic after your subsequent descriptions. And I watched the episode! But then, it's been a bit and I rushed through it between episodes of Silo lol...

I can't believe I actually like this show. I'm not the target audience at all, but it's been fun so far except for episode 4.

While we wait for the new episode, maybe I can try to rank all the Disney shows like everyone else has.

Mando season 1-2

Andor Prison scenes

Skeleton Crew

The Acolyte (was so stupid it needed to be seen to believe it was real. It's so bad it should be studied by future generations.)

Book of Boba Fett/Mando season 3/Obi Wan/Andor non-prison scenes (all of these are just like a flavorless mush that is hard to distinguish)

Dead Last: Ahsoka.

I'd watch The Acolyte again before I could sit through Ahsoka once. The only one I couldn't get through. Just dreadful.

One of Disney's worst tropes reared its head again.

Fern screws up, cause she's just a kid. Kids screw up, it's fine. In a startling moment of maturity and humility and personal growth she starts a heartfelt apology to her friends. Only to be cut off by Wim ignoring all of her near-fatal mistakes and insisting, "No Fern, you're AMAZING!!"

It's the tried and true Mary Sue trait....all characters have to tell them they're amazing and wonderful and perfect all the time. How little self-esteem do these writers have that they insist on constantly writing fictional validation for themselves into everything?

I know it's a very minor gripe, but in an otherwise fun and engaging episode, this stood out like a sore thumb.

Ahsoka > Mandalorian 1 > Mandalorian 2 > Andor > Mandalorian 3 > TBOBF > OWK > Acolyte

Skeleton Crew
is likely to be a high entry as long as it continues the way it's going...

What the hell...?

:horror

I started to find Grogu to be such an annoying character that it's knocked The Mandalorian off the top spot.

Even though I don't like Rosario Dawson's largely smug portrayal of Ahsoka the series as a whole has something. The music is consistently some of the best in any series; Ray Stevenson dominates the screen every time he appears; it brought Thrawn and the Rebels into live action.

Ahsoka is greater than the sum of its parts, but given time it may have as many dud episodes as The Mandalorian, or as many annoyances as Grogu.

Skeleton Crew has a quality that in ways is reminiscent of the early EU, and that's always been a bench mark for Star Wars for me (which is why I hated the prequels so much from the start).

In their defence, Fern had just saved Wim and KB from crabs.

She said she shouldn't have left them, but it was Wim and KB who walked into danger.

With the Onyx Cinder in the grips of the trash mangler I was expecting the 'never touch button' to detach the cockpit/captain's cabin section like a life raft, which was a theory I saw in a video yesterday:

As it turned out it really was a 'sleeper ship' hiding itself under an outer layer of junk, a bit like the Millennium Falcon.

It was a little too convenient, but then that's been a trait with Star Wars since the beginning: convenience and coincidence.
