I would say I agree with you except for one thing...

No reason why the movie itself can't be good in the middle of all this exposure, over marketing and hype. All Star Wars since ANH in 1979 has been hyped, over exposed and over marketed. They are two separate things, the movie and the marketing, always have been with SW.

I agree, everything is overrated and overhyped today, with the internet and everybody jumping on the next bandwagon, that stuff can make you pretty sick and tired of whatever stuff is being hyped at the moment.

Essentially, all fandoms are crap even if the stuff they like is good.

I will probably have to go back multiple times just to get a peaceful viewing. Wish I thought of that idea...... I seriously would have done it with my small theater near me

Yeah, I usually just wait it out a week or so to get more chill screenings. I can deal with slight chuckles and whispers, but premieres are like going to the stadium.
