Funny how so many people talk about TFA like they've already seen it, it's great, it sucks, it's a rehash, blah blah blah...

I'm sure it will share elements from the OT, Even ROTJ shared the Death Star. But in reality, there is so little we know about the film, Abrams and Disney have done a great job (so far) of keeping much of the plot secret. Sure, being fans we can see things and make connections the way the general audience might not be able to, but that's on us, we just know too much on the subject.

many on this site have decided whether or not the movie is any good a month before its even been released.

I thought that was just for the BvS thread, my bad, there I just fixed it.

Will it top Avatar? No. It will make alot here in the US but I don't see it. Biggest opening weeks? Yes. It will fall off alot in week 3 and 4 once the fans had their fill..

And Avatar was a POS. no offense to anyone who liked it. I'm a huge Cameron fan, but that was his weakest, most cliche movie. In my opinion of course. Terminator, Aliens, The Abyss and True Lies were all much better films. Again, in my opinion....

I've called it a rehash based on what we've seen so far, some of the scenes are too derivative of the OT for my liking. If it's only those few scenes that are like that, it should be good.

Honestly I think the whole thing looks like a remake of the OT. :lol

I don't care though. I'd rather have that than the PT. As long as it's good.

If this movie delivers the goods I will actually be disappointed if the audience remains quiet.

I don't want to watch this kind of movie with a bunch of cinema prudes who demand silence so that they can be spiritually moved by the nuances of space battles and a walking carpet. :lol

I expect no less than seismic reactions, bring it!

Pretty much. How many times does one get to experience that in the theater? Not a whole lot! It's a sci-fi movie, not a night at the opera house.

I think you and I need to go to the next night at the Opera and bring our light sabers!

I bet movie theaters will no longer allow Han Solo blasters to be brought in.

Sadly, you are correct. We've had signs up for weeks saying it's ok to dress up, but no masks, blasters or lightsabers. The 21st century sucks. It's like they think ISIS is going to come in with real lightsabers and start beheading people. Seems a bit stoopid to me. However, given past events, we'll be lucky to make it through without some kind of incident happening somewhere. :(
