I don't think TPM had an exact world wide release at the same time.

Disney is either really banking on the world wide release or they don't want the film leaked before the week of Dec 18.

I wonder if the next two films will have the same plan

Australia was a week or two behind the US for TPM.

And yes, they're certainly keeping a tight lid on this one. There's only one Australian media preview screening, and that's the night before, so only a few hours before the midnight premiere. Most films have media previews in every capital city up to a week before release.

That said, Aussies will effectively see TFA nearly two days before Americans.

The press here will watch it on 14th I think. A friend of mine from Bucharest is going too.

One thing i just realized after hearing an interview of Boyega and Rey whatshername.
They re freaking young. Its like all those teen novels turned into movies.

Keira and Daisy were born not too far from each other in London, but I guess both their accents are 'received pronunciation'.

Within the Star Wars universe Keira is almost family - she played Sabé, Rey's grandmother's decoy.
