It'd be funny if his action figure was called "Big Deal" instead of Finn. That would have sure confused people prior to the film's release. :lol

Big Deal was funny....Han referenced him that on a few occasions then told him to tell her...they know...they always know....classic solo

I know we've all be speculating about Rey's heritage but what if she had one of those ridiculous Virgin Mary births. Maybe the force is her father just like Anakin :lol that would explain why she's so powerful I guess, even though it didn't really do much for Anakin.

Pretty ridiculously so . . . especially compared to Luke's progress in the OT.

And the Millennium Falcon is now indestructible . . . plowing through buildings, skidding belly lands sans gear, etc.

If Abrams had directed Return Of The Jedi, the Falcon wouldn't have needed to thread the needle through an exhaust port -- it would just plow straight through the Death Star, boring its own hole, with Stormtroopers sliding off the windshield. The radar dish wouldn't have a scratch!

I realize this is a pointless question, but during the epilogue scene I kept wondering what has he been eating for the past 35 years? Moss? Pebble Soup? Sea birds?
Even Dagobah had a riot of life forms . . . it was a swamp. Luke lives on a rocky island with NO SOIL.

As most people seem to do... they ignore reasoning and continue bashing the film when it has been explained to them.....

Nonetheless....

Falcon smashed a scrap metal outpost. Any ship or car could. Then you don't even mention the Falcons most "indestructible" feat of smashing through trees. Guess you forgot in your anger. Space metal at a high speed vs wood..... I take space metal. Nothing hard to understand.

There is soil on the island. There was grass. Plus, you know, water surrounds the island on all sides, fish and other aquatic life probably live in the water so Luke most likely eats that.

It has already been explained why she is so powerful.

Hmmmmm. Not sure what to think yet. I think I'm leaning toward JYE's thoughts on this. I don't want to jump the gun and share my thoughts until I watch it a second time to see if it hits me differently, but I don't have much good to say off first impressions. Pretty disappointed actually.

I found a lot of problems with it but the main one is it didn't feel like Star Wars to me. Sure, it's the reality/universe/setting, etc. but it's Abram's brand of Star Wars. We can mostly agree that the prequels should've been a lot better, but the one thing that we can probably also agree on is at least they all felt like Star Wars. Abrams didn't nearly match the vibe and charm that Lucas created that makes Star Wars, Star Wars.

Saw it three times, this how I rank the movies so far.

ESB > TFA > ANH > RotJ > III > II > I

I loved what they did with TFA. The new characters are awesome and I thought the onscreen chemistry was great. I think this movie is a great setup for the rest of the trilogy.

I dunno I think TFA felt way more like a Star Wars movie than Episodes I - III.

BB-8 is also now my favorite droid.

Awesome.....I'd place it third but totally agree about it being an awesome setup film

I agree about it not feeling like Star Wars and I also feel pretty disappointed.

Over half of the audience laughed hard when Kylo Ren took off his mask and revealed his face (it didn't make me laugh though), did anyone else's theatre do this? He did look pretty goofy though and I think the guy is a horrible actor, ala Hayden Christiansen.

I didn´t like it.

It´s pure copycat of what George Lucas did for younger audience but without soul.

Worst villains ever.

I prefer the prequels. The force awakens make them better.

I find that hard to believe.

Lighten up, Francis. It's just a space opera flick. Sheesh.

It was an enjoyable retread of A New Hope that played it safe and derivative.

You repeatedly accuse others of anger . . . it's become a nervous tic!
Physician heal thyself . . . :rolleyes2

Yeah, because it's in the script.

And the Falcon no longer needs landing gear and Luke eats grass. Got it!

No one laughed the times I went when he took his helmet off. I thought it was badass but I am also a big Adam Driver fan.

I am not surprised people didn't like TFA. It is Star Wars, the most criticized franchise of all time, not everyone is gonna like it. I also think a lot of fans are living in the past though but to each their own. Its all about entertainment and having fun and this movie was a freaking blast.

Rey was explained. Falcon doesn't need landing gear to land and couldn't use it at Starkiller base because of the high rate of speed. Plus I thought it was used when they went to Luke. Luke most likely eats fish or other aquatic life. Easy to understand.

Was hoping we had seen the last of 3PO and R2-D2. 3PO looked a little less detailed then he has before. Maybe they'll both get jettisoned to another galaxy in EP 8. Do you think the next film will explain the Leia/Han breakup and why their son, Darth Schnoz, went evil? The whole movie was so incestuous in that all the key players are somehow related to each other. What did they call that freighter that Han and Chewie were flying? Although a nice intro to Han and Chewie, that scene with the octoboogers was silly and unnecessary. Was that Han's blue hoth coat that Chewie hands him?

Some folks require a more direct reference to understand the films progression. Embrace that we understand subtle indirect references making the film even more enjoyable. More questions become clearer each time I watch it...so all is good.
