Palpatine would've been so much better if this tech was available back then.

I hope Maz doesn't come back.

As for Snoke, I wouldn't mind if they just ditched the CGI lanky man and reworked the character with a human performance from an actor with a costume and prosthetics instead. Why not?

In Empire, the Emperor was a woman with monkey looking prosthetics. It was funky. Wasn't until Jedi where we got the fully realized Palpatine we all know and love. Likewise, in Attack of the Clones they made Palpatine look all sick and gnarly only to drop the illness look and have a "disfigured" Palpatine for Revenge of the Sith instead.

I'm sure the force had something to do with those changes, so what the hell, have him evolve like a Pokemon and fans will buy it...all of it.

Andy is so goofy, looking though. Can't picture him wearing weird make up. I think CGI works better for him :lecture

I think Snoke's appearance needs to be rebuilt not the graphics. Should've made Snoke look like Darth Malgus

I never said keep Serkis!

Don't even get why they hired Serkis for this or needed motion capture for Snoke honestly. It's such a small scene and the CGI is nothing to write home about.

Honestly, I don't think they needed it anyway since he was just a hologram or projection. l love Serkis though.

Wow. I don't hear that at all. I do agree about Serkis. I wish his character were not a cgi creation.

Some parts, not many, had that certain slow and soft middle earth melody.

When i'm not doing anything my heart keeps telling my brain to go watch this movie again.

Even some of the music sounded LOTRish.

C'mon Luke's hideout was filmed in Ireland..you don't think he was channeling a Peter Jackson moment. Especially when Rey was walking up to the steps :lol

Snoke was a CGI projection with Gollum Hands and skin tone with an Orc inspired face

Just came back from seeing TFA for the third time. I don't know if it's been discussed here before or not, but that Starkville base can a destroy an entire planet no matter where it is and never leave its orbit? I wonder if it were targeting a planet on the other side of the galaxy would the energy loose its power on its way there? Could something get in its way and interrupt it?

Yeah, me too. My post wasn't a slight against Serkis, more like his talents and work is a waste for Snoke. Didn't even need to bring him in for a character that just sits there and doesn't emote. If you're going to use Serkis, put him to good use like the current Apes movies.

You're thinking about Star Trek and Doc Ock.

Starkiller is like Unicromn , but it destroys planets instead of devouring

Energy can neither be created or destroyed. Dissipated yes...

But we see the photons from stars every night we go outside many traveling thousands of light years to reach your eye. A concentrated beam from a weapon could travel very far without a loss of power.

Electromagnetic energy from our own suns relatively weak solar storm will likely wipe out many of our satellites one day.
