I hope Maz doesn't come back.
As for Snoke, I wouldn't mind if they just ditched the CGI lanky man and reworked the character with a human performance from an actor with a costume and prosthetics instead. Why not?
In Empire, the Emperor was a woman with monkey looking prosthetics. It was funky. Wasn't until Jedi where we got the fully realized Palpatine we all know and love. Likewise, in Attack of the Clones they made Palpatine look all sick and gnarly only to drop the illness look and have a "disfigured" Palpatine for Revenge of the Sith instead.

I never said keep Serkis!
Don't even get why they hired Serkis for this or needed motion capture for Snoke honestly. It's such a small scene and the CGI is nothing to write home about.
Even some of the music sounded LOTRish.

Wow. I don't hear that at all. I do agree about Serkis. I wish his character were not a cgi creation.

Honestly, I don't think they needed it anyway since he was just a hologram or projection. l love Serkis though.
Just came back from seeing TFA for the third time. I don't know if it's been discussed here before or not, but that Starkville base can a destroy an entire planet no matter where it is and never leave its orbit? I wonder if it were targeting a planet on the other side of the galaxy would the energy loose its power on its way there? Could something get in its way and interrupt it?
