A friend in Northern California bought the Steelbook at a Best Buy there today. I've seen some folks post purchases from Walmart as well. So they're definitely some hitting store floors early. I'm surprised the SKUs ring up at the register, though.

Wow, that's surprising, because the bigger stores definitely follow the street date rules stringently. The only two occasions I've known of a retailer breaking street date was when Electronics Boutique started selling the DVD of The Return of the King a week early in 2003(?). If I remember correctly, they got in trouble for that. The other occasion was with Circuit City (who's no longer around). They didn't break street date per se, but left a box on the sales floor which I assumed they were going to start stocking. I looked in the box and saw the Any Given Sunday DVD, and grabbed a copy and bought it about a week before release as well.

It happens, either by accident or "by accident". I've seen it at Target, Wal Mart and Circuit City (RIP), and it is usually only on fairly big releases.

3 minutes worth of Kylo sitting in the Falcon.

1 minute of Snow Chase.

I want my snow chase. I was cheated that it was taken out. Got that shot of the itsy-bitsy planet sucking off the sun instead.

:lol :lol

I caved and bought it on iTunes, I love having it to go. Also the documentary on the making of the movie is very well done. Not Empire of Dreams but still really good. The deleted scenes are pretty meh, except I wish Kylo Ren on the Falcoln would have been in the film.

This thread will probably blow up tomorrow if not tonight maybe. The digital transfer is top notch. Can't wait to see the blu Ray

Yeah, my ahem.. *digital transfer* :lol... is outstandingly good, I would imagine the blu is gonna be amazing.

I was amazed how Abrams did the motion effects instead of straight CGI for Maz and Snoke..it was funny seeing her on her knees walking around so she could be shorter than everybody else. Had no idea that Serkis was actually on top of a high platform looking down at the actors. thought he was just in a sound booth :lol
