Broke and happy
I do think that Han's return to the MF is not as epic as they think they made it and are trying to sell it.
"Chewie, we're home" is the greatest moment in the SW saga.
Yeah, I love that goofy scene.
BTW, Khev... you're needed in the BvS thread. Jye is slipping into darkness again.
I've learned that if I ever disagree with jye's opinion all I have to do is wait an hour and he'll post the exact opposite of what he said previously.
That's a pretty good foundation to start with.[emoji38]
I'm just a perpetually conflicted SOB.
Besides, all I said was that I was giddy to watch BvS as my 15 year old self hence my affection for it.
But I appreciate Irish looking out for me.[emoji38]
*spindrift already calling me out on it...just great..FML.
You keep talking about your 15 year old self and Bryan Singer will be the one "looking out for you". *Allegedly*
I absolutely love her mouth.
Target by far got the best behind the scenes special features. Tons of B-roll footage (which is the best stuff!) including alternate takes and line readings.
Here's one of the documentaries for those who haven't watched them yet:
I absolutely love her mouth.
Oops, I dropped a quarter.
Sure... you "dropped" a quarter.
A-dev just snuffed khev's enthusiasm.
Bastards killed him. Before there could ever be a reunion for the big 3. Maybe to some that lends added weight to his death, to me it's a shame, at least right now. The next two films might vindicate it somehow.
IrishJedi is probably the only one here who would have even noticed but did anyone else get a "Seven Samurai" vibe from the Knights of Ren? The last time I watched TFA I made a point to just focus on those guys during Rey's vision and instantly caught a seemingly familiar stance of the one Knight in the back resting an over-sized staff weapon of some kind casually on his shoulder. It made me think of the way the ex-farmer Samurai would carry his huge katana particularly in that one shot where the Samurai are looking down on the farmers' village for the first time.
I'm assuming it's a deliberate homage given that Abrams was quite up front about studying Kurosawa, Ford, and Mallick prior to shooting TFA.
Absolutely. And I can't say for certain but in the behind the scenes docs Abrams seemed to indicate that that moment of Han in the cockpit was actually Ford himself seeing it again for the first time. Abrams wanted to just film it unrehearsed so unless I'm mistaken that's a genuine smile we're seeing from Ford there. I do admit though that it was pretty jarring seeing him wearing those super bright blue sneakers in most of his most iconic scenes in the film. I guess it's better than Greedo wearing high heels under the table.
