Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Nothing worse in life than being a cynical and jaded Star Wars fan waiting for more Star Wars movies.

Like me. :lol

"Phineas and Ferb Star Wars Special".... Baby Jesus, suddenly the idea of Shatner in Star Wars looks good by comparison.

All this leaked verbal & written helium / methane getting around..

My motto - nothing's anything, till it's something. :lol

I just saw this over on TheForce.net. It's the current marketing roadmap for Star Wars until Ep.7

Leaked Disney Licensing Roadmap Points To Vader TV Specials And 'Digital Library Launch'
Posted by Eric on October 18, 2013 at 03:06 PM CST | 1 Comment

Jedi News exclusively obtained an image of a brochure from the European Brand Licensing Show which points to several unannounced developments in the Star Wars franchise. You can click on the image above to read the full Star Wars licensing roadmap, but the highlights are as follows:
  • A "Choose Your Side" marketing campaign
  • A series of Darth Vader-themed TV specials
  • The launch of some kind of "digital library"
  • Episode VII will be released in Spring/Summer 2015
  • The mention of Vader TV specials is truly out of left field, but the digital library launch certainly sounds familiar. It also wouldn't be surprising if Episode VII hit in the summer, as opposed to December like the undying rumors claim. We're checking with Lucasfilm to verify this brochure and will bring you any additional information as we get it.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

They called it a "indefinite hiatus". :(

They might bring it back, but it's a slim, slim chance. Shame. It was a really, really good show.

Lego Star Wars "Menace of The Sith" > Almost Everything

The face changing Lego Palpatine cracks me up every time.
As does the Yoda/Windu conversation on Dagobah as to who the secret Sith is (with R2 spelling out "Palpatine" in the background). :lol

Happy 57th birthday to Carrie Fisher, i hope she isn't working out how old she'll be by the time Episode IX is released or it could be bang goes the diet :slap

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

I don't want to sound insensitive to women but does anyone watch Arrested Development?

Long story short Season 4 just happened after them being off the air for like 7 years and most of the characters(the men) slipped right back into their roles no problem because they look the same. Even the very old Jeffery Tambor. The women however, well google Portia De Rossi Season 4 and see for yourself. Same goes with Jessica Walters, they look awful, not trying to be a **** but it's true and everyone I know that watches it feels the same, not just irl but on forums etc.

I have to be honest while I can look at fat Mark and earring Harrison and imagine slapping an Alec Guinness beard on Mark and some hair dye on Harrison, I look at current day Carrie and I don't really even see a hint of Princess Leia. Maybe it sounds sexist but especially when your such an international sex symbol, women just don't seem to hold up as well as men often times. Not always, (**** look at Raquel Welch just outdoing Heidi Klum in the same dress at like 73) but certainly here with the comparison to the Bikini clad, no bra chick she is always going to draw when shes associated with the words Star Wars.

Leia Organa / Solo - whatever, comes from Royal stock. She's going to develop into an older stateswoman - a role perfectly fine for what the character calls for at this stage.

Associating any kind of hot meter to Ms Fischer is missing the point somewhat. I'm sure given a chance to prepare adequately, she'll look great for her age. :huh

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Yeah, agreed. Peoples' expectations with age in our society - especially in regards to women - are depressing. Leia was a cool character. Her value to the series wasn't entirely sexual, so weird to me that she'd be reduced to that for some people. Sure there'll be another hot actress in the film you can imagine banging in her place, Deckard. :lol

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

she doesn't need to he hot in this at her age just to do the character justice again is enough.
