Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Leia Organa / Solo - whatever, comes from Royal stock. She's going to develop into an older stateswoman - a role perfectly fine for what the character calls for at this stage.

Associating any kind of hot meter to Ms Fischer is missing the point somewhat. I'm sure given a chance to prepare adequately, she'll look great for her age. :huh

:goodpost::exactly::exactly:
At this point, whining about Fischer not being fapworthy is like whining that Queen Elizabeth no longer gives you a chubby. :lol

Hey you can all say whatever you want now, I'm sticking to my guns that when the movie comes and you see her, you may end up wishing you remembered her as the young Leia and left it at that.

How did bringing back Marion Ravenwood go? Carrie ain't exactly leagues ahead of her in ability. And J.J. and cameos, Spock worked well in Into Darkness right? ...

Comparing the significance of an older Princess Leia to Marion Ravenwood - on any level, is like comparing fine wine to expired Sake. :huh

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Only because of Crystal Skull.

Before that Marion Ravenwood was the ultimate girl for Indy without a doubt. She could keep up with him physically and in witt and was sexy.

Will having a married Leia and Han with kids that are all settled down be awesome? Will having her appear to explain why the emporer is bad to the next generation cut it? Will anyone scream "HHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNN!!!" :lol

Are you mind controlling Vintij? Its like he posted the perfect post to prove the point you made. :lol

This is my biggest fear with bringing back the OT OG's, that Star Wars 7 becomes the new Crystal Skull. :monkey2

Young Marion Ravenwood > Young Princess Leia

Willie kills em both though. With all that screaming, imagine that gag reflex.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

Yeah, she's still a do want.

Young Marion Ravenwood
I never found Karen Allen or Margot Kidder all that attractive. Even as a kid, I thought "Supes and Indy could do way better than that." SUPERMAN and RAIDERS made me the picky man I am today.

I think a great deal of Marion's appeal wasnt just her looks, but her "tough girl in a man's world" charm. She could hold her own, even drink the other guys under the table and she never backed down from a fight or a tough situation. She was a character way ahead of her time.

I agree. Though I'd give Marion a "slight edge" with her feistiness, but both were woof. Kidder's Lois was gross. Smoker's voice, too much hookerpaint and she looked like she could outdrink a Scott. :lol

If you look at the first Superman Movie she was still had youthful looks. It was probably the boozing that caused her to look about ten years older in some of the Superman 2 Lester footage.

She never looked better than in this scene though:

:nono Superman 1 & 2 were shot simultaneously. :lol

With the Lester footage coming in abit later and looking back on it now, I can see the difference. She lost just enough cuteness to balance out her *****iness. So like that FOS scene which was shot much earlier than a good portion of II, she was more appealing. The key here are her cheeks: they sunk in by the time Lester came on board.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

The chick from Dukes of Hazard and Wilma from Buck Rogers were my hotties when I was a young horny perv. :lol

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015) Discussion Thread

There was a nearly 1 year hiatus in filming during Superman II. When Donner was fired they had to re-negotiate everyone's contract. Brando, Hackman and John Williams walked. Margo Kidder's face changed a lot during the break in filming and Reeve kept working out and bulked up a bit.
