Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

If the rumoured Prometheus location is used, just where could that be in the SW galaxy? I don't recall anything similar in either trilogy or EU but may be it could be Geonosis or Mustafar after an extreme enviromental disaster???
I'm sure they'll CGI it to death to make it a known planet, or turn it red/orange and make it Korriban :)

Since we have no conclusion to Ahsoka Tano's fate in the Clone Wars might we see her in episodes VII, VIII or IX?
Wishful thinking, I still think we'll see a CW movie that will tie up all the loose ends. Still have the Ahsoka arc and Maul arc's to complete prior to ROTS.

Would be amazing to.see a conversation between Ahsoka and Luke.

John Boyega Among the Latest Actors Up for Star Wars: Episode VII Lead

Attack the Block's John Boyega, "Downton Abbey" star Ed Speleers and theater actors Ray Fisher and Matthew James Thomas join the previously-rumored Jesse Plemons ("Breaking Bad") on Variety's list of names up for a lead role in J.J. Abrams' upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII!

Today's news comes on the heels of the all-but-confirmed report late last month that "Girls" star Adam Driver is joining the much-anticipated sequel as the film's central villain.

Scripted by J.J. Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan, Star Wars: Episode VII is rumored to focus on a new generation of heroes and could include appearances by Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford in older incarnations of their beloved characters from the original Star Wars trilogy. The film is expected to begin shortly and will hit theaters on December 18, 2015.

Out of those five, I prefer Ed Speleers or Matthew James Thomas. They both look like they could be Han and Leia's kid (if that's what they are going for)

Jesse Plemons could pass for Luke's kid.

A ****** title.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (12/18/15) Discussion Thread

I don't see anything bad about A New Hope being reverted back to Star Wars.

No need for SW: ESB and SW: ROTJ being used.

Just SW / ESB / ROTJ.

When I think of the first movie, the words ANH never pop into my head, its just SW.

Conversely, I don't see anything wrong with ANH being added. The series as a whole is called Star Wars. It's a bit silly to have one installment of the Star Wars series called Star Wars. If ANH was a one off, yes, SW is a better title. But once it became a series, it made sense to tag on a subtitle to it. Each episode has a name just as each Flash Gordon chapter had a name. It gives the series a unified feel to it. I also don't think ANH is a bad title. Is it cheesy? Yes, but so are ESB, RotJ, TPM, AotC, and RotS. They're supposed to be.

I'm eager to hear the outrage over the title of Episode VII :lol

There's history attached to the first film not being branded in the beginning - it's that simple.

It's like ROTLA - now it's Indiana Jones & the ROTLA. Neither were really necessary changes.

The only weak justification, is Lucas' constant ****ing with a good thing. :huh
