The biggest problem with the trailer for many, I suspect: it was just ok. Everyone remember the teaser for the JJ Star Trek movie? Very cool without showing anything other than the Enterprise. They should have gone that way. Star wars fans want big, bold, and sexy....not just ok

Looked and sounded absolutely not like lightsaber. Probably because it isn't.
Maybe it's something like those energy shields and has no offensive capability.

The design is retarded anyway, though.

Maybe a mechanic working on the falcon for 88 seconds? I think they wanted to introduce everyone to the new cast and some of the slight design changes -- x-wing, Stormtrooper. The old folks, as they say, need no introduction.

R2 riding a beach ball, x wings water skiing, lightsabres with yet more streams, poor cgi etc etc. I'm a huge SW fan, I just wasn't feeling this trailer at all.

It amazes me how the people that think this trailer looks great seem to have a real problem with the people who, like myself, think the trailer was poor. Whereas the people who think the trailer was poor don't seem to have a problem with the people who liked it. Funny that.

I just watched that the other day with a friend who'd never seen it.

It amazes me how the people that think this trailer looks great seem to have a real problem with the people who, like myself, think the trailer was poor. Whereas the people who think the trailer was poor don't seem to have a problem with the people who liked it. Funny that.

The syfy/fan film criticisms feel too harsh for me.

I think their intentions were to show off the kinetic energy that not even the PT possessed.

This is fast, Mace Windu was slow.

Curious now how the OT cast will look and move in this.

Idk, yeah it was kinda all over the place and nothing made any sense, but it's too early to tell.

No matter what, we will all be there.

I get out more than enough, I just don't decide something is a joke or sucks until I see it.....except the new Fantastic Four.
