Because they're all Star Wars trailers? I remember being really impressed with the first prequel trailer, though I don't remember much from it.

Because it's not Lucas and his vision for the story. This is absolutely apples and oranges, except that they were seeded on the same farm. There's no real reason to compare them, except to make things more complicated.

The Empire and the siths are basically Nazis, and just like real life Storm Troopers and Nazi party members, they were ALL bad and deserved to die.

I love how they gave Harrison the ratty Han Solo hair look

Is the girl supposed to be Jaden Solo and I hope this black dude isn't the focus. Looks like a wannabe Denzel Washington in his prime..ugh I sense bad acting arising again like Hayden

I had that in mind of course, but I think the argument even stretches to the first Death Star and its Imperial occupants. If the new film is going to show us this Finn chap, a Stormtrooper presumably turned good, whose to say that first Death Star wasn't teeming with Finns.

The original films presented a pretty black and white scenario of Good versus Evil and now they're introducing a bit of grey which kinda makes you look back on the originals with a different eye. Arguably even the prequels did this though with individualised Clone troopers, not that I ever really gave a **** about any of them.

The black guy is the new Luke and the girl the new Leia...and the football, the new R2D2. Once the original cast goes away in the sequels, I probably won't give a crap about the new characters.

The OT cast can't go on forever, nor should we want them to, this is pushing it as it is.

As long as it's good, I'm ok with more SW with new characters.
