ahmm.. no clue what you guys talking about.. maybe I rephrase my question. Will there there be Tatooine or not ? a simply yes/no/unknown would do it :) Thanks

Flawed as it may be, TPM had a magic all its own, and it still makes me smile.
I remember going into the theatre and, yes, being somewhat underwhelmed by the movie itself.
But as I walked out and started commenting the film with a friend, I realised something that to me is the true magic of that movie: at no point during the film did I question the reality of what I was seeing.
I was so engrossed by the story and the action that I never stepped out of the experience and went "whoa, how did they animate all those robots?".
The underwater sequence was the only one that threw me off, but beyond that, I was just seeing other worlds.

Anyway, back to TFA, I find the showcased aliens somewhat lacklustre and uninspired.

Great article, the build up to TPM was magical.

Thanks for posting that Jye, good stuff. :duff

I'll always love TPM - as counter to my usual merciless scathing assessments of things as that sounds.. there's a lot that I still quite love about the actual film, as well as all the pre-release pandemonium that surrounded it in 1998.

The other two movies can go to buggery as far as I'm concerned. :lol

Interesting article, I don't think TPM was awful though. Was it what we expected, or wanted even, no. But actually in its own right it isn't a bad movie, it just has some bad characters and slapstick elements etc that drag it down in places. For me, it is a much better movie than the other two even if it is no Empire Strikes back.

Even the originals have been tainted since Lucs's tinkering, even comparing them to how they were originally they don't hold up well. Jabbas Palace band anybody? Errrgh...

My biggest issues with TPM.. from kick ass young Jedi to fat Rick Astley in a wig in 5 minutes, then back again.

Damn re-shoots!!! :cuss :lol

It's even worse in EPII with poor Ewan sporting an obvious rug - AT THE BEGINNING OF THE MOVIE!!! (elevator scene) :gah:

Completely ruined those scenes for me. Very silly. What's bizarre about TPM though was the sheer amount of wig wearing Obi-Wan in the movie, just how much of it did George reshoot? :lol

My first 2 eBay purchases were Darth Maul figures. Paid about 20 bucks each plus inflated shipping. Now, I'd be crucified if I put them in a Toys For Tots box, much less try to sell them for a nickel each. :lol

I went to TRU EP 1 midnight toy premiere and spent close to $300 in Hasbro toys, Net worth now: maybe $45. Never again.
