Lucas is very basic -- Maul, Tyrannus, Grievous.

But those are better than Snoke and Phasma.


Phasma = Phantasma + Fanta Girl

Snoke = snort + toke

I read somewhere he wanted Starkillers sith moniker to be either Darth Icky or Darth Insanius, which this name reminded me of for some reason. You're right though. All the names you mentioned are better than Snoke.

I wouldn't be suprised if this was something there just feeding us right now to avoid some kind of spoiler.

Complaints about names in new SW movies are silly. In the OT there are characters named Wedge, Biggs, and Lando. I think Phasma sounds better than any of those.

But then we have name's like Garven, Veers, Motti... Not TMNT 90's unused villain names...

Fine with Phasma, sounds like a Flash Gordon character, which Lucas constantly rifled. Some of the others though do not sound like Star Wars names.
