Yeah that's nonsense, PT are so bad that it made people even hate the OT, that's how bad they are.

They are not bad- they are disasters..people block them out or are in deep denial- they certainly have the worst acting and dialogue and story than any modern big budget high profile film in the last thirty years

I actually hope your right!! I don't want episode VII to sink, I want it to be great!

Even if the movie sucks the critics and fans will go easy on it, just like they went easy on Indy 4 and the Phantom Menace initially, even though they sucked. Nostalgia can blind people. So I expect critics and fans to react to episode 7 like it's the greatest thing ever. Also, the prequels were so bad, episode 7 will look like The Godfather part 2 even if it's just ok.

Initially or in retrospect? I remember when it premiered at the Canne film festival, people didn't want to say anything negative about the film

At the time it was released, it seemed like everyone was crapping on it. I thought it was OK. Nothing to write home about, but certainly not as bad as the Star Wars prequels. It seems like the geeks I saw writing about it were in the "Spielberg and Lucas are raping my childhood" camp.

True i was in denial for a long time. But i was a huge pothead back then so long story. I'm in the block out camp now, Vader is still actually a bad-ass, Purple lightsabers don't exist (yet), and boba is still mysterious. (along with 1000 other things)



Which reminds me. Do you guys think any new lightsaber colors will be introduced in this movie or the next 2? I always hated the non explanation of Mace's. Lucas just giving him purple cause he WANTED IT. I'm not really too open about a rainbow of sabers colors but i kinda think a yellow would be cool. Or will JJ try to keep things as basic as he can?

At least Indy 4 has...Indy...kind of. AOTC has Hayden Christensen in what looks like a video game, not a film.

AOTC is the bottom of the pit of the PT..it is just plain pointless as a movie. Strong? Yes but true

JJ had to watch this several times to take notes to do the opposite everything in this film does!

Even the trailer had an Indy moment that was delivered un Indy like in the actual movie.
