For me, and in contrast to Pegg and many others, the less connection the PT has to the originals the better.

All I wanted from the prequels was a back story for the OT. I didn't want it to overshadow the classics. Maybe that was setting the bar too low, but it averted disappointment!

So you think the prequels include the very worst, and very best of the franchise. Interesting.

There's a tendency to lump all the prequels together without differentiating. Whereas there's also a strong body of opinion that ROTS is close to the OT in quality.

The flicks themselves, aren't anything special. I mainly like the characters and mythology.

This is what people forget, the entire saga is B-movie popcorn space opera. Don't expect high art.

Yup. Jedi is my fave.

!

1: Empire Strikes Back
2: A New Hope
3: Revenge of The Sith
4: The Force Awakens
5: Return of The Jedi
6: The Phantom Menace
7: Attack of The Clones

I wish I could see The Force Awakens already.

Whoever puts ROTS in their top three is either beyond help or a clueless whippersnapper, seriously. :lol

Well, the saber duels are the best out of all six films. Unless you think Vader throwing boxes at Luke is considered "action."

None of the Classic Trilogy can match the Obi-Wan vs General Grievous for conception to finished film, its brilliance to have a lightsaber duel between a Jedi with a single lightsaber and a cyborg with four lightsabers is beyond even Darth Maul's double lighsaber. And for the first time since ANH Obi-Wan is portrayed as an accomplished swordsman.

Not sure if sarcasm....
But the Obi-Wan duel with Grievous was great. All of you OT riding fans can't seem to wrap your head around the idea of more than three different jedi, a galactic war, and multiple saber battles in one movie.

I vaguely remember that. Wasn't Obi Wan riding around on a giant dragon thing during that scene? It's certainly X-TREME to have a robot with 15 different light sabers fighting a guy with one, riding a dragon.

This is kind of ignorant.

Grievous was a spectacular waste of time.

No. That stupid space worm the Falcon flies into is a waste of time

Attack of the Clones is the best one out of the 6.

:lol

Im changing my rankings, Revenge of the Sith is the best movie to me.

The Vader vs Luke "duel" in ESB is one of the dumbest things I have ever watched. It really makes me put my head down in shame, then the NOOOOOO! line is over the top.

Just noticed that Captain Antilles springs back to life to stop himself going headfirst into the wall there...

Nope, when he threw him the wind velocity trajectory from the binary hallway corners caused a vortex fusion gust of air that picked up his arms.

Oh, you're going way back. OK then. Better have 'Rear Window' and 'Bridge on the River Kwai' and 'Gunga Din' on your list then.

And for you kiddies out there, it IS Gunga Din.... NOT Gungan Din.

The Bridge on the River Kwai is a disgrace to those who were forced to build the Burma Railway and in particular their commanding officer who never collaborated with the Japanese unlike Guinness' character in the film. As for any Hitchcock film, surely they stand the test of time no matter whether they're black and white or in colour. How many of the films released in the last 10 years will be considered 'classics' in 20, 30 or 40 years time?

I'm sure it would but stuff like this has always been pointed out in the OT aswell. Stormtroopers hilariously banging their heads against door frames and so on.

Head banging brought up so much that GL made it an "In Joke" in AOTC.

Look, PaPa Clone also hit his head.....har har....so witty.
