Tragic death of main character: Check

Happy with what I've seen so far: Check!
Honestly the best part of the trailer is seeing Ford act. I mean act, properly like Solo. He hasn't done that in years and it's ****ing cool.
My only concern at the moment is sweaty panic boy, that shot of him staggering on tatooine, I mean Jakku... is cheesy as hell, I liked attack the block, but not so sure of his acting ability in this so far.
The music in the trailer is tremendous, and that shot of Rey watching the First order arrive through the treetops is missing I noticed.

I am unaware of this very vocal minority, and I dredge the SW sites daily. Anyway!
Who is this tragic death of main character you speak of?

im not reading here much because I really dont want to grab any bigger spoilers... but the trailer was great. They barely gave away something but you get a feel of what to expect.. I can not wait for Dec. 17th and Im glad I secured my premier night tickets ! :)

[...]Boyega is "london street" in Attack The Block, it seemed a strange thing to get someone so specific in accent and tone and americanise him.
It sometimes works, sometimes not. I ****ing loved everything else so my hopes are high.

So he plays a hard man in Attack The Block? That vibe (minus the "Sowf London MASSIF" drawl) might work for a stormtrooper that was "raised to do one thing".

A sort of damaged, cold, lost innocence vibe?

Second trailer was better for sure. Loved that one.

Expected more with this one...terrible start of the trailer. Hated the dialogue, ship exploring scene, and music. It did not feel like OT Star Wars.

Luckily it changed pace later on and got better. I was still hoping for Luke though.

I thought it was perfect... Enought to get me excited but I still don't know anything about the film.

yeah sure, but he has a natural "sowf london Massif drawl" :lol ..perfect description.
Not sure why you would get a young actor like that and then tell him to be something else.
It can work or be stagey and fake. I'm hoping for the former, I like Boyega, just hope they didn't put him out of his depth.

What's wrong with this picture...

I have been staying away from reading a lot of the comments and theories, but I honestly thought the trailer was just ok. I think the movie visually is stunning and definitely has a OT feel to it. But it didn't tell me anything more about it than I already knew.

Riiiight. Hope it's not true.

It looks like Chewie in this picture *note his bag bottom left of screen and you can see his fur*

Maybe this explains why he has a bad aid on his right upper arm.

Well, it's one or the other. I brightened that pic up earlier, it's actually hard to make out who it is. It seems like a human shoulder. The early rumours seem to have been extremely accurate so far.

Loved star wars as a kid, saw them all in theatres.
Still loved them as a teen, but was more into Alien, Cameron scifi stuff not anymore in space opera.
This new épisode look and feel like the OT, wich is great, but i dont see anything original yet.
Seems like a reboot/remake.
Hope the whole mysteries about Luke, Kylo Ren are more twisted or surprising than What the spoilers are pointing to...

No fur there, its the shoulder of a leather jacket and grey hair...

yup, looks like it to me too. Although there are some strange things going on with the image when you brighten it up. What appears to be grey hair actually exists at the right and left of frame, so it might not be hair. It does look like a human cheek in front of her though. And that certainly looks like Solo's brown leather jacket.

Watched the trailer yet again. It has an epic WWII vibe, which I like. As for the "hair" in the mysterious grief shot...that looks like bushes or branches in the background.

*Edit: Also, the jacket is the wrong colour for Han. Finn is either gravely wounded or bites it. Given that he was a (possibly) murderous stormtrooper with a bad conscience, it wouldn't be out of left field to have him die for a good cause, finally.

Hmm it does look like some one lying down in front of her. Could very well be solo.

I'll riot. :lol

New star wars is amazing and all, but if it comes along and ruins our happy ending from Rotj, then I'm gonna be bitter :lol

Ordinary life is **** enough, dunno why all our fantasy heroes have to die.

Han's jacket is dark brown textured leather, not blue. Looks about right to me. Finn's is bright cream.
An early spoiler said that Han gets cut down in snowy forest in front of chewy. Look at the background behind Rey?
It's the same forest where we saw Kylo Ren ignite his sabre. Spoilers look correct for once.

HAN'S JACKET IS BLUE! :lecture

Sorry, couldn't resist. :rotfl

I'll look at it again in a while. I had a picture in my head of Finn's jacket being brown, Han's being very dark brown. :dunno

Agreed. I don't want to see any of the original cast go down, blaze of glory or not.
