What Khev said (can't believe I'm actually typing that in regards to ROTS :lol)

Discussion of this scene takes me back to this internet classic:

:lol :lol :lol :lol

Turns out midichlorians would have not only popped up again in Eps VII-IX, but been central to the plot, if George had had his way:

(This also further confirms he had midichlorians in mind from the start)

This feels like GL driving his trolling F-U lowrider, dropping his shades with an eat-**** grin before burning rubber on fan lawns.:lol

My guess is that in his mind the pain of the years-long PT reaction probably replaced the adoration of the OT era as the defining attribute of his life.

Reviewers with no profile pictures give very brief and generic reviews gushing over TLJ. Nothing but slogans and platitudes. Many of them use the same language as Lucasfilm Commissars.

"It's the best. A monumental achievement by Lucasfilm and Disney".

"This is my favorite Star Wars film. I'm a fan of 35 years. This is what I was waiting for."

"The Last Jedi is a delight. A film with a real emotional punch."

"Finally, a Star Wars film with a brain."

"Brilliant storytelling. Rian Johnson is the new Master."

"Best Star Wars film ever."

"Great movie. Ignore the nerds."

"This film is a triumph."

"I miss George but Lucasfilm found a worthy successor in Rian Johnson."

"A modern classic."

"So much care for the lore and these characters."

"My favorite Luke Skywalker film."

There's pages full of this stuff and it's all recently added. One after the other. Damn Russians.

Sorry, it's been determined that JAWS is using an unlicensed trademark image and username, so he cannot be site owner or a mod and must leave by June 20th.:lecture

June 20th happens to be the anniversary the movies JAWS' release to theaters.. And my wedding Anniversary :lol... I have a hard time convincing people I did not pick the date :lol

Pro-'straight white male hero' group behind Star Wars actor's abuse

A group previously intent on sabotaging the rating of Marvel movie Black Panther has claimed responsibility for the hounding of Star Wars actor Kelly Marie Tran. Tran, who plays Rose in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, was subject to a long campaign of racist and sexist abuse on social media, leading her to close her accounts.

On 8 June, an outfit called Down With Disney’s Treatment of Franchises and its Fanboys said it was behind the attacks in a now-removed Facebook post. The group accused longtime Star Wars producer Kathleen Kennedy of pursing a “feminazi agenda” that had led to the “perversion” of the “canon” of films, which feature intergalactic bounty hunters and their talking robot friends.

The post, which was photographed before deletion by the site Screenrant, expresses no remorse for any actions, instead declaring Tran’s exit from social media as “bloody glorious”. Down With Disney’s Treatment of Franchises and its Fanboys’ aim is for Star Wars to be controlled by a studio who will reverse “forced diversity” and “bring back the Straight White Male Hero that isn’t manufactured by a corrupt corporation”.

I want to say I'm surprised but I'm really not. WTF.

You and I may be the only people who have done the pilgrimage to Martha's Vineyard to visit all the various filming sites.:lol

True story - the day after I bought the Jaws Laserdisc boxset, I was riding in an elevator and recognized Lorraine Gary was standing opposite me (it wasn't 100% random though - I was meeting her husband, but didn't expect to see her there.)

People honestly think this is genuine? This whole thing is so laughably, stupidly, transparently bogus it defies belief anyone could take it seriously. It's a 100% completist laundry list of "hater" handles specifically created as a one-stop shop for reporters to quote from.

Kelly Tran troll - check! (uh... actually THE Kelly Tran troll - double check!!)
Bots hacker for RT - check!
Straight-white-antidiversity - check!
"War against" KK and "feminazis" - check!

Oh, look... and the image above has been quoted from the Guardian, THE most left-leaning major newspaper in the world. I'm shocked!:lol

Gullibility knows no bounds.:slap

Who cares if it's genuine? :lol Does anyone actually believe that Disney shareholders care about the reason behind declining ticket and toy sales? They just want results. While snowflake SJW's can either fabricate or accurately quote equally irrational, idealistic snowflake alt-right types regarding PC culture wars, it doesn't matter. Guilt and/or idealism isn't going to translate into enthusiasm for episode 9. It won't improve toy sales. It won't erase the image of Luke practically suckling from space-******* as a space giraffe-cow launches knowing gazes at our infallible female protagonist.

If the media truly wanted to improve the box office for Star Wars, they'd completely de-politicize their coverage of anything relating to the franchise. No more articles about identity politics, no more promoting the social media of angry white males... They'd portray the franchise as being fun escapism from anything resembling outrage. In that sense, Disney is getting exactly what they deserve. You can't delve into controversial topics while simultaneously appealing to the lowest common denominator. It's one or the other.
