Instead of going after looks first I wanted a non smoker great hygiene free spirited frisky brunette girl first, then looks would be a nice extra as would being a movie geek who enjoyed cooking like I do.

I finally found one with all of those qualities minus the geek component but that naturally evolved just from being together to form a well rounded person lol.

17 years later we are still going strong.

Congrats! I just wanted someone who didn't judge me for my dollies. We've clocked up 17 years too!

So Anakin brought balance to the force?

He began the path to an age of Gray Force-users. The Grays are the future of the saga and their journey as Grays will dictate the direction that the next episodic entries in the series will take via their exploits as Grays.

Khev don't like grays

I'm usually not a fan of "everything you know is about to change!" especially if it seems to be done just for the sake of adding relevance to a tired story. But I'm not writing off the new films, heck we don't even know if any of these changes to Jedi and/or the Force will even end up on screen. And if they *do* change the Force then there's always the off chance that I'll be impressed with the execution and give it a pass.

Dude it does crack me up when you stick to your guns on a particular topic and then without warning go full comedy. You actually had me until the fourth "Gray" popped up in your post. Well done. :duff

I can live with the Grey Jedi stuff but if Rey or anyone is a reincarnated Anakin, then I am happy to walk away and dismiss the Disney films. That is just lazy writing and is like what one would expect in bad fan fiction.

It isup there with convenient amnesia and long lost twin siblings to bring back characters.

At a certain point in everyone's life, mommy and daddy tell you the world is not black or white, but gray... at first kids are shattered by this concept, then fascinated by it, think its very deep. There's really nothing very deep about it.

In storytelling, 'grays' are pointless. There's no conflict with gray. It's where you end up. An understanding of both, a balance. But most stories and journeys are about 'choosing a side'.

I agree with whoever said it here: we've had these "grays" since the beginning of Star Wars, they're called JEDI.

That's what they were supposed to be; the balance. Somewhere along the line Lucas decided to make his Sith sect much larger and much broader and suddenly they become this opposing force, which in turn forces the Jedis into the Light side. Now there's a vacuum in the middle for fan fiction to fill.

It's Lucas's own ideas for the PT that created this imbalance that forced fans to invent 'Grays' to fill the holes.

i don't understand how this infers gray Jedi, it says through the resolving of gray, not becoming gray

Their canonical origin starts here in the [canon] novelization for TFA:

Lucasfilm chose to make that the first page of the novel, and according to author Alan Dean Foster, said first page was the reason the hard copy of the book [containing the page] was released three weeks after the film.

I wonder if Ben Solo told Han and Leia that he was gray before coming out as Kylo Ren.

I met a Kylo Ren at Disneyland and he asked if I was part of the Light or Dark side of the force, I responded with "I dunno" Great social skills; he then proceeded to get mad at me and say you can't exist between the two, so I wonder if Disney is gonna fire him now. :lol
