Re: Star Wars Episode VIII (Dec 15th, 2017)

In all likelihood, yes. Everyone's going to pour over these like they were frames from the zapruder film.

If that happened during the internet age...Star Wars set pics would still get more clicks.

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII (Dec 15th, 2017)

All I see is AOTC speeder chase looking at that car and environment. :gah:

you are right- very right- i shudder now....ughhhhhhhh:slap

C'mon guys, just because it uses similar designs (it *is* the same galaxy after all) doesn't mean it's gonna be a similar film. And this is coming from someone who liked the prequels (yes, even Ep II!)

The NT can make as many prequel references as it wants, you guys are still free to ignore the PT.

Yeah, it doesn't bother me, it's the content of the story, the directing and the acting I will judge the film by. They can even go back to Coruscant, if they want, just stay away from Dexters Diner.

It's probably something that will be onscreen for 4 seconds (after 8 months of microscopic scrutiny and nerd-on-nerd death threats).

:lol

Sad but true.

I remember how stupid looking the empty white halls of Cloud City looked in the first ESB trailers. That's not Star Wars. :lol

Need context.

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII (Dec 15th, 2017)

Star Wars is someone running through the halls with a ice cream maker.

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII (Dec 15th, 2017)

Again if any idiot thinks that the Original Trilogy enthrallment will be produced.....go see a doctor....Prequel like films will be the norm with hopefully a little better umph! :) knew this day one...Star wars for me is liked just for being star wars...I aint looking for substance...just want good ole entertainment involving Star Wars characters...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII (Dec 15th, 2017)

I must admit a lot of this imagery doesn't have a strong Star Wars vibe, very sci-fi for sure. But even the idea of these black-tie style suits is very *earth* something the SW universe has always trend to avoid. It's hard to imagine these creatures, extras in costume fitting into any existing SW movie tonally.

I think it looks very interesting though, it would be worse if it was another rethread.

My thoughts exactly. Though I suppose you could say the Imperial/First Order officer uniforms were reminiscent of the SS.

Yes, been there done that with TFA, time to move on.

You wouldn't be excited for The First Order Strikes Back?
