"Him" actually. My son is 7, daughter 10. And I'll say this about the prequel trilogy, if nothing else it has thrown away all "script immunity" for SW heroes. Now my kids half expect every hero to turn to the Dark Side. They were both convinced that Jyn would become an evil TIE Fighter pilot after that first RO teaser and they both think Luke will be evil in TLJ. My daughter is convinced that Rey will stay good but my son thinks that Luke will turn her too. So there you go, lol.

But I did conduct your experiment. I literally just got up, went downstairs and said, "Hey guys, serious question. There's a Dark Side of the Force and Light Side. What would you think if in the new movie they learned that there's a Gray Side...?" My daughter literally burst out laughing, lol. I said, "Well?" And she clearly didn't think I was being serious. So I pressed the issue and said "and what if then they start having Gray Jedi?" To which she burst out laughing AGAIN, held up her hand and said "Dad. Stop. You're so weird." These are literally exact quotes I kid you not. :rotfl

:lol I love it.

This is why Disney won't go gray. They do tons of "market research" and bizarre experiments on kids to get just these sort of tastes.

Also not surprising that its the boy who thinks everyone will turn evil. That is generally a very masculine survival trait.

Be sure to ask your son what he thinks of Gray Jedi too. Extra points if you do it with a straight face.

You know the saber fell down the shaft......anyone could have retrieved it. Even Vader could have sent someone to find it and bring it back to him.....and maybe that person got it stolen.......

Sounds like a great script for a film set between ESB and TFA......

Anyone for a Lobot film?

Bespin is a gas planet. There is no surface. Anything that falls down that chasm should end up getting sucked into a tube and spit out just like Luke was. The saber should have fallen to the core of the gas planet and been vaporized.

In the old EU though, the saber was retrieved, along with the hand, and used to create Luuke the clone. And didn't Mara Jade get the saber? Who retrieved it from the bowels of Cloud City in the old EU?

I'm just glad they didn't actually use the severed hand floating in space bit. That would have made a pretty terrible movie that much worse.

I hope that happens as an excuse for moar Vader and maybe even a de-aged CGI Hamill.

GOTG 2 in my theater had the TLJ teaser attached to it, and it seriously got like meh reactions, people were more hyped up about Thor than this one lol.

Makes sense.

The Thor trailer is like a live action cartoon with "oh crap" moments, "funny jokes, " and a kickass Led Zeppelin song. How can anything compete with that? Sad Luke? Nope. Finn sleeping? Nope. Aquaman riding on top of the Batmobile while a Beatles songs plays? Wait Wut? Not even close WB :rotfl

Saw GOTG Vol 2 today also and the crowed reacted differently, I head a few "Ooo's and Ah's" when TLJ trailer played.
