Heh, I wish. Remember, after this December there's another one next year and then another in 2019.

Then hopefully by 2020 it'll all be over, like waking up from a bad dream . . .

Warner Bros. advertising for their crappy DC movies is nowhere near as in your face and obnoxious as Disney's marketing campaign for Star Wars. WB is humble in comparison.

Just wait till September - November when it's non-stop Star Wars shilling 24/7 on every single website. Ain't nobody avoiding that **** unless they don't get online or go to any stores. Even then, they'll probably get some crap mailed to them with Star Wars on the cover or something. I know personally, I'll rage if any of those ugly Star Wars bastards are on the covers of what ever comes through my mail slot.

This is why I didn't see TFA in theaters. Since Disney has taken over, the level to which Star Wars permeates every facet of live has skyrocketed. Leading up to TFA, I would see Star Wars merchandise advertised in mall jewelry store windows even. Disney made me sick of Star Wars to the point I wanted nothing to do with watching the old movies and had no desire for them to even make new ones. I can take or leave TFA, but, I'm very intrigued by Luke's story so now I'm excited for Last Jedi to see where that and Rey's story goes. Thankfully, and i know December is a long way away, I haven't felt like Star Wars is being forced down my throat like I did in 2015.

You know, for those of you Debbie downers, SW can be over. Just simply stop seeing these supposedly wretched excuses for movies and move on with your lives. Then we can all be happy:)

Trolls are only happy when they Trollin Trollin Trollin......keep them bad vibes rollin.....Trollin Trollin Trollin.......to get by!!!

I think that's Disney's formula saturate life as we know it with whatever new movie of the month to the point we want to see it. No matter how good or bad it is. It blows up at the box office and justifies making more whether we want them or not.

Star Wars is forever. Trolls are not. Threadcrappers who hate the movies and seek nothing more than to mock or sow discord will see their posts purged once TLJ is released. Negative reviews that are courteous and not posted as a constant barrage to stifle positivity and enthusiasm will, as always, remain.

Is the same going to be true for WW and JL threads? It sure wasn't for BvS. :lol

Absolutely. The threadcrapping rule went into effect as a result of the Suicide Squad thread. BvS had already come and gone by that point. I kept an eye on Logan but the naysayers said their piece and quickly moved on.

I still like Star Wars. Nothing will recapture the excitement I had a kid watching the original trilogy but I look forward to seeing new stories and such. Even the omnipotent Rey who will become the ultimate Jedi.

I embarrassed to admit, I have no idea what "thread capping" means.

:O

When certain SSF members like a film--regardless of the actual quality of said film--negative comments are referred to as "thread-crapping". There are films that get **** on constantly, but nothing is done about the negative posts because those SSF members either don't like the film or don't care about it. :lecture

I don't dislike Star Wars, but with anything I like, there is a fine line between excitement having it pop up a lot around the time of release, and having it everywhere you turn, showing up in places you wouldn't expect and it really shouldn't be popping up, and you can't control your intake, it's like when radio plays your favorite song to the point you start to dislike it. Star Wars is everywhere, there's easter decorations, Halloween pumkins with Darth Vader cut out into them, jewelry at places like Kays, it's just everywhere. I like having control over how much exposure I get to something I enjoy, I don't like when it feels like I can't escape it, which is how I felt the fall/winter that TFA came out.

Good thing this was not around during MOS I would have definitely been banned!

I'm afraid I might not be around much longer after Just Us League is released. . . if I even see it [emoji38]

What.. wait.. do we all hate The Last Jedi now? I didn't get the memo..

Seems like about half of the board was in love with Force Awakens when it came out, and now mock and ridicule it. I mocked it right out the gate. . . But enjoyed it, and am looking forward to the sequel. It's ok to enjoy a film as fun, but disposable entertainment. In fact, that is what we are spoonfed about 90% of the time.
