HT Maulfan's found his latest obsession: the Golden Snoke.

I think we should give away a Golden Snoke each month for Best Meme.

More and more old timers are saying that. I wonder if its an age thing? I'm one of you oldies too, but I'm OK with the negative. Too much positive can suck just as much. No one should come to an anonymous forum in hopes of feeling better.

I think it's more than just the constant negativity. It's the mindless glee of making fun of something on the one hand, and bitching about whatever it is you don't like ad nauseam. It's the mentality of wanting to be destructive and thinking it's really cool.
Discussions that used to be interesting seem to just devolve into making-fun-of posts and memes. It's the exact equivalent of reading a well thought out review by an experienced critic versus watching a youtuber.
I never came here to "feel better", but it's becoming less and less interesting and fun.

Now to be fair you can't hate on the praetorian guard then just 2 posts later complain that the boards have become so negative.

I'm not going to take your opinion on the guard and all of a sudden start complaining that the boards are negative now, i'm going to respect your opinion and not whine about it.

Now don't make me post a pic of a Rose Porg.

I think there's a difference about expressing your (negative) point of view and moving on, and going on and on and on about it, coming back over and over again to point out how much you think something sucks in a thread dedicated to that exact same thing.

I'm not a big fan of the MCU, I do enjoy the movies as disposable fun, but that's about it. So I just go over there, give my (usually) short review and then maybe do a short back and forth explaining or defending my opinions. And that's it.
Same here. I think the design is terrible. I have no need to say anything more about it, and don't think I will, unless somebody asks me about it.

The irony is most of the posters complaining about the negative board are the posters who are often the most negative.

Take the example of calling the board 'negative'. Now that's really a negative thing to say.

:lol
It is a negative thing to say, but hopefully it leads to a discussion on why it is so, and whether anybody feels we could/should do something about it.

Hypocrisy is one of my pet peeves.

I have no problem calling it out when I see it.

Hence why I never complain about anyone or anything.

Ah, but you see, I think there are things we should complain about...

The Golden SNOKT.

I think Disney is being cheap...

It's all good I certainly never had a problem with any of your posts.

Hell I wake up every morning hoping for kara to make fun of RO!

Abake, your post is too long. I couldn't get through it without a picture or meme.

:D

I agree with this. And I look back with rose-colored glasses -- no Jye, don't put Rose on my glasses -- at the past board thinking it was more positive and fun. But I wonder if it was, relatively? I wonder....

I agree abake. Some negativity can make discussions more colorful but too much and it just sucks the life out of the forum. I can see how too much positivity could also be lame but that's pretty much never been a problem on any discussion forum, ever, lol.

So Snoke strolls around in a silk bathrobe like alternate 1985 Biff Tannen? With unmasked Kylo and Captain Phasma? That's the trio that is following RO Vader, Tarkin, Krennic and Two-Tubes?

I cringe just thinking of Finn joking with Phasma and with Han.

That is TFA at its worst for me.

"Why you moving your head like that hunh why!?"

Ughhhh.

and the golden snoke poke award goes to? We need a picture of porg rose and snoke maz getting ready for the ultimate lip lock to bring peace back to thread

San antonio, it wasnt bad they had the 501st there and some TLJ card board cut outs, I am starting to love the Praetorian guards, they grow on you.

Yep, that was the worst for me too. PT dialogue may have been too Shakespearean/operatic, but TFA was too far the other way.

Also, looks like Rose will be a nobody-turned-somebody just like Finn: Link
