And people are asking for a $250 HT of that.

:lol :lol :lol :lol

So far Snoke does nothing for me. I can't take his design seriously, and I hate that he's fully CGI. I understand trying to distance him from Palpatine, but his character is such a generic "BAD GUY". I'm hoping I'll be proven wrong though, since I like Andy Serkis a lot.

Bottom line I think is that Luke is the new Yoda.

Yep.

Its funny to see some people **** on the CGI effects of PT movies back in 1999-2005 :). At least those movie with "****** CGI" to some people standard were way better in term of story telling, design than previous fancy TFA but absolutely garbage storyline and 0 characters development.

The prequels were horrendous at storytelling and had the worst acting ive seen since an elementary school play. The new movies are a cold and sterile product, but atleast they are trying to be entertaining. (And by trying, I mean in the way that a robot might analyze a piece of art and come up with some equation as to why it is meaningful)

I don't get why there are so many prequel apologists (especially towards the horrendous Episode 3) suddenly popping up when only a couple years ago it was pretty much settled that they were complete disasters of moviemaking.

It's only ever been "settled" among a certain subset of grumpy old men. (I might be a grumpy old man, but I'm not in the PT-hater subset)

I used to hate E3 more than TPM but post TFA i’ve definately joined the chorus that it is the best of the PT.

I just can’t stomach those damn Gungans regardless if the movie was made with 35mm film.

That’s not to say that ROTS is any good because it’s not.

I also do think that it’s plainly evident by now that TLJ will be a far superior film than TFA but will it be a good SW movie.

I believe so as long as the grand larceny of ESB is presented in a more fascinating and seamless manner with higher stakes and more palpable tension than TFA was able to accomplish due to those heavy ANH shackles.

RLM still remain masters at destroying new SW and genre movies no words can do this video any justice you just have to experience it for yourself, the raping they give TLJ and JL is just off the charts.

The only thing I wish they would’ve included was for one of them to be surrounded by an increasing amount of SW collectibles everytime you cut back to them until they were completely buried underneath all that SW junk.

None of this is true tho.

It isn't.

TPM & AOTC skew young and that's what bothers people the most. Yes, there's wooden acting in both of them that at times is unforgivable but the story elements despite their targeting of kids, are still solid.

ROTS is a great film. McDiarmid was superb in it, McGregor BECAME Obi-Wan and Christensen achieved an Anakin that worked on many levels. The only thing I wish ROTS had was less CGI and more practical effects.

"it broke new ground!"

That was funny.
Didn't watch all of it though, had to get back to work.

I was surprised by how many visual cues they took from other movies. I hadn't watched the trailer again, and it's basically a montage of scenes from earlier SW movies...

None of this is true at all.

Beyond crap acting, bad cgi, cringeworthy dialogue, important character moments glossed over. Anakin being the one that didn't work on any single level.

Darth Vader; the badass warrior who destroyed the Jedi and had to have been atleast 60 based on Sebastian Shaw; was just some effeminate awkward kid in his early 20s that spent most of his time whining?

People do hate them because they skewed young
They hate them because they are garbage movies. All very dated spectacle without any substance to hold it together. And episode 3 is where it was at its self indulgent worst.

Meh to me there Just a bunch of old guys upset that Star Wars won’t go back to the Ot what I get from them. O lightsaber fights are bad and everything should look like it was made in 1977 or it sucks. Episode 3 was far from perfect and the other prequels were bad but they aren’t the worst movies ever made.

O who cares about Shaw or whoever. The man didn’t look like a fierce warrior looking at his force ghost either.

I agree with snikt on this. Anakin was fine. The lore explains why he turned into the monster that was Vader. Vader’s transformation didn’t end when he put on the suit. He went through many battles and was haunted by what he did. Episode 3 showed only a piece of Vader falling from grace. He didn’t become a ruthless warrior overnight.
