O who cares about Shaw or whoever. The man didn’t look like a fierce warrior looking at his force ghost either.

I agree with snikt on this. Anakin was fine. The lore explains why he turned into the monster that was Vader. Vader’s transformation didn’t end when he put on the suit. He went through many battles and was haunted by what he did. Episode 3 showed only a piece of Vader falling from grace. He didn’t become a ruthless warrior overnight.

Regardless of your headcanon, Shaw was Vader.
Anakin was not fine. Hayden's stiff yet whiney portrayal is consistently the most criticized element of those incredibly troubled films.

And the retconned logic that his rushed development is ok because now suddenly this isn't how he became Darth Vader? Even if that was true, why would we want to see that?

OT > PT > new SW sheet

Pretty much.

If I had to rank them, I'd pretty much rank the movies in the order they were released. The exception being AOTC and ROTS (I think EPIII is much better).

So this shot shows, when the school is destroyed, Luke is wearing an outfit more like a prequel Jedi, so he then changes to what we see him in at the end of TFA and has at least one new outfit in this movie. Curious why so many changes.

Meaning they have gotten progressively worse with each installment? ?

Of course. You know my tastes. Would I really rank Star Wars last? Empire Strikes Back second to last? :lol

No

Where's RO?

Next to all those goofy fan films I've never seen. RO wasn't a bad theater experience, but it was a forgettable one. I think I like RO more than TFA, so MAYBE second to last. Every new sequel trilogy movie pushes it out of my thoughts, so by TLJ, Solo, Episode 9 or Kenobi, it'll be nothing more than an old memory. It's biggest sin is that it's an average Star Wars flick at best and an awful "war movie" at worst. If I want to watch Star Wars, I'll watch ANH. I know the OT elements and quip Droid really do it for you, but if I want that stuff, I'll just see the real thing.

We’ve been seing him wear that since the TFA trailers lol

He looks so bad ass in that outfit though.

Hey why no real set lol

So...

ANH>ESB>ROTJ>TPM>ROTS>AOTC>RO>TFA>fan films

Meh to me there Just a bunch of old guys upset that Star Wars won’t go back to the Ot what I get from them. O lightsaber fights are bad and everything should look like it was made in 1977 or it sucks. Episode 3 was far from perfect and the other prequels were bad but they aren’t the worst movies ever made.

While I don’t take anything they’re saying seriously simply because not one person alive can diminish my internal hype for all this fun disposable garbage that skit perfectly captured in an over the top manner what some say is wrong with the modern nerd geek culture.

I was crying laughing watching that skit.

I feel my ranking needs spacers to help quantify things better -- so you get a sense of the distance between #2 and #3, etc:

ANH
ESB

RO/ROTJ - I still can't decide

ROTS
TFA

TPM

AOTC

Just admit you liked the gratuitous Porging :lol

Oh man AOTC spacer is lulz

How Wor-Gar calculated AOTC cinematic global positioning:

Sun = ANH

Earth = ESB

Juno = AOTC

Darth Vader; the badass warrior who destroyed the Jedi and had to have been atleast 60 based on Sebastian Shaw; was just some effeminate awkward kid in his early 20s that spent most of his time whining?

There it is again, the belief that Anakin should have been more Vader-like. If that were the case his downfall wouldn't have been so shocking.

Like Por-Gar, I too put ROTS above TFA.

Anakin's age in ROTS plays a large role in his fall. He's a prodigy that isn't being treated as one. That conflict with his peers is what allowed Palps to corrupt his moral compass. People that wanted a fully realized warrior [like Obi-Wan was in ROTS] as the Anakin who fell, don't understand that said hypothetical Anakin would have never fallen. He'd be too set in his ways to allow a Sith to twist his mind.

When I get home I am repping this wonderful graphical representation of the SW films ......

I agree exactly....

Well said!

Esb>anh>rotj>ro>rots>tfa>tpm>aotc

Swap TPM & AOTC and that's pretty much me too.
