To be fair, there are supposedly 20 years between ROTS and ANH. There's a lot that could change a man in that time, especially when you've lost two arms, two legs and can't breath on your own without an iron lung and a mask you can never take off. That's not even mentioning the fact that you killed your own pregnant wife. I would imagine there would be a lot of meditation and introspection with such a hellish, claustrophobic lifestyle where you are that compromised and handicapped. That's enough of an excuse to change a headstrong, arrogant young man that complains about being held back to a humbled, wisened, sorcerer that lets his actions speak louder than his words.


Then again, there's inconsistencies between Vader's character in the OT as well. Compare the changes he undergoes from 1977 to 1983. He goes from a right hand man, throw away type of villain, to a sadistic, officer murdering obsessed madman then finally to a meek, pathetic gimp that has no qualms of sacrificing himself so that his own son gets corrupted.


How Anakin acts in Revenge of the Sith (wants to overthrow the Jedi, then kill the Emperor so he can rule the Galaxy the way he wants to) is a lot closer to the Empire Strikes Back Vader than anything in ROTJ. The only difference is, instead of father and son ruling the Galaxy, it would be a husband and wife.

Why the hell would the story that the prequels were supposed to be telling happen entirely in comics and extended lore?! That's the real problem right there.

The entire point if the prequels is to link up the story and characters. Not show completely different ones and brush off linking them up as "people change." They don't. Not that much. There is not a single recognizable trait physically or mentally between PT Anakin and Vader.

Like Fabio said and I’ve been trying to tell you people change over the years. Vader killed his other self to become a more ruthless sith. He states all the time that he killed anakin so of course Vader is different from his younger version. The comic lore just paints a better picture on how he killed his other self. Anakin and Vader are the same but completely different.

Perhaps the Porgs will assemble into the positive Super Being that is the Light Side of the Force. That being will also be the reincarnation of Anakin of course because in Fan World all things go back to Anakin.

Listen I get it I would never accuse anyone of being irrational for not liking Disney Wars it’s obvious they’re raping...errr...making SW for all the wrong reasons BUT looking at the bigger picture as far as evil corporations go greedy Disney is quite tame.


Take the pharmaceutical industry they’ll lie about a kid having cancer then they’ll even have the 2nd and 3rd opinions bought off so that it matches their lie just to raise their market value.


That’s pure unadulterated evil because you will now have no choice but to give your perfectly healthy child debilitating medicine that will cause them irreparable harm.


Disney sure yeah they played with my nostalgic heart so that I now spend my hard earned dollar on a stupid Porg and buy a $27 movie ticket to watch what might actually turn out to be a fun movie anyways.


I will never be as vitriolic against merchandising greedy Disney as I am against other industries who are peddling a far more dangerous form of greed.

No one is forcing anyone to buy merchandise or a movie ticket.

You have no choice in the matter when your health is being manipulated.
