I have a feeling that, had social media existed during the OT, people would've found a way to tear those apart too.
This is funny:

How much money does TLJ have to make to be successful? I think it’s already passed that point, regardless of what fans think they already made their money back along with a substantial profit.

Yes it's already profitable, $200 million budget, if you add marketing and all other expenses you need around a $500 million box office to start making money.

However, the question was never will it be profitable or not. They want these trilogy movies to make just a couple hundred millions less than Force Awakens.
Their plan is probably for TLJ to make around 1.7 billion, and that's gonna be really tough based on current numbers and very split reactions. After a couple more week-ends, it will be easier to predict accurately.

They also need the merch to sell btw, that's a huge metric for them.

Well he kinda threw it away at the end of ROTJ...not at the beginning....a lot of stuff happened to Luke in that film to make him do that....TLJ...nothing much kinda happened on screen to make him do that....even in TFA

Well being he didn’t have a lightsaber with him, my guess is that throw at the end of ROTJ was suppose to be a final throw....

Nah, he has it in the latest Battlefront story mode which is all canon. Also pretty sure he has the lightsaber at the end of ROTJ on Endor. Oh and in the flashbacks in TLJ as well, it's the same hilt.

I believe this.

BTW, Kuat and Spazz really need their own radio show. Did you read their debate last night? Very intelligent. And courteous. Much could be learned from these two.

Those 2 cats put way more effort into their SW thesis than anyone sure did with TLJ.

Or did their magnum opus impress you enough to open up your eyes to what you missed in TLJ and you’ve now been converted to loving it?

Journalist jye shoves mic into Wor-Gar’s face....

”Tell us how you’re feeling about the death of SW Mr. Wor-Gar do you feel like you’ve been vindicated sir, do you have any comments you would like to make to Khev or Kennedy?”

I explained it to my wife, what if 30 years later some stranger walked up to You with your class ring you lost. Even though it’s been 30 years and high school means nothing to you, there still would be some disbelief and intrigue on how it was acquired, you wouldn’t just discard it with out emotions.

IMO depends. IMO that scene is akin to others - whether it is a weapons maker or the hero who's had enough - who's had a long emotional journey (probably wading through blood up to their knees) and comes to the realization that in the end, no-one even knows what the fight is about, it's just death and destruction all around.

Or something like that. And here it is again - either re-forge/make the weapon or help us fight. No-one ever seeks these characters out just because someone misses them. IMO with the emotional journey Luke apparently went on, the light saber is a symbol of beliefs/power that always seem connected with the death/destruction of loved ones, among other things. It never ends. Unless he says no.

OK my Star Wars rankings on a Star Wars scale... Meaning other then the first two films everything else gets an extra point for being SW :lol

ANH - 10 out of 10
ESB - 10 out of 10
ROTJ - 8.5 out of 10

TPM - 6.5 out of 10
AOTC - 2 out of 5
ROTS - 6 out of 10

TFA - 4 out of 10
TLJ - 5 out of 10

RO - 8 out of 10

Opps for got RO and decided ROTJ needed 1/2 a point more :)

PT rated higher than ST.

You’re braver than I thought.

:lol:lol:lol

Personally always thought that Darth Vader *suddenly* being Luke's father was straining things, and it all shows up later when Leia is talking about remembering her mother ???? when re the prequels she couldn't possibly (tho maybe having the Force as a newborn she sort of knows her mother was beautiful, kind, and sad) etc. but whatever. It's Star Wars.

Khev Kennedy.... you have my deepest condolences.

:lol :lol :lol

You don’t feel the least bit remorseful that Kennedy might end up discarded and find herself in a homeless shelter in the south Bronx somewhere.

2nd weekend hasn’t even started yet and TLJ is already buried. :lol

Remember that WW2 gremlin from Bugs Bunny that’s me lol.

I’ll dismantle a plane bolt by bolt.
