They put all their money into a coke drug junky and failed miserably ..... Oh well..... Mark should tell them all to f off for the 9th part

Khev Kennedy.... you have my deepest condolences.

:lol :lol

I've apparently missed way too much since I last logged in so I'll just reiterate for those just joining:

1. Opening space battle was awesome.

2. Island scenes were funny, thought provoking, and poignant.

3. Throne Room scene was off the charts awesome and the best part of the film.

4. Porgs rocked.

5. Finn and Rose were totally inoffensive, as was any political "messaging."

6. Casino planet was a fun diversion even if it they did spend a little too much time there.

7. The convenience of Finn and Rose meeting someone who could break into Snoke's ship was incredibly contrived but DJ himself was awesome so it gets a pass.

8. Holdo's sacrifice = one of the most epic space maneuvers/deaths in the Saga. In fact it's only potential downside is that it was *too good* for the character they gave it to.

9. Crait battle looked amazing and Luke's showdown with Kylo put him above every other Jedi ever seen on film to date. It actually made him more badass than RO Vader without having to actually *go* "full RO Vader." Before the film came out I don't know that I even pictured just *how* they'd do Luke justice but they went and found a way.

10. Broom Boy? Eh, no big.

Conclusion: Awesome SW flick totally worthy of being ranked with the the OT right behind SW and ESB.

Best movie of 2017: BR 2049
Best experience of 2017: TLJ

Feige must be panicking over IW now, the heat is on.

Burn it all down baby.

Black Panther a movie with a 98% all black cast yeah good luck with that one after TLJ :lol

Wife and I saw it Wednesday and I still do not know what to think. It felt like a kid had a box of action figures and just made up a random story as he went. I face-palmed multiple times in the theater because there were SO many opportunities 'missed'.

I keep reminding myself: I was entertained, it was better than the prequels, and Rian Johnson isn't writing/directing the next movie.

Black Panther will do just fine if it's good, they only need those solo movies to make around $650-700 million.

The majority of the backlash on TLJ isn't about racism, it's just a few idiots whose use that angle.

So what you’re saying is that the world needs more thick skinned conservatives like you to save this movie from itself because narratively this movie was near flawless.

I remember posts from me saying SW will do just fine.

You’re allowed to be naive as much as i’m allowed to be cynical. :duff

I’m not even blaming the racist i’m blaming Kennedy for bringing the war to SW a property loved by families and kids world wide.

The black community seems to be embracing BP, but not SW and Finn.

I still think they should have made Finn force sensitive so that he and Rey can train together, and challenge each other. If you're a kid, why would you want to be like Finn? Buy his toy? Play with his character in a game? He's just a guy, and not even a cool guy like Han Solo. Han had no powers, but had a cool gun, outfit, personality, and the Falcon, the "fastest" ship or something. Finn has Rose and a perspiration problem.

Black Panther will be huge with the black community, and it wouldn't surprise me if SW/Kennedy copies Marvel by introducing a black Jedi, or they make Finn force sensitive.

Except for #1.... everything you just said is wrong.

Snowflake hipsters in skinny jeans and man buns can just:

And let us red-blooded tax payers enjoy this awesome flick. :gun

:rotfl

Poor Finn. Totally agree. Tbh they had an opportunity to make him a total badass after what had happened to him at the end of TFA. Recovering from that and becoming an elite soldier in the Resistance would have been a very nice arc for him.

Lucas beat her to it though, Mace Windu was not only a Jedi but one of the most powerful and ranked just under Yoda in the Order.
