If RO had no vader or final 10 minutes...then its just another mission in space film

Still felt very much like SW compared to TLJ imo.

And that's the thing, there was the Vader scene. Removing the Vader scene at the end after showing him on Mustafar would have generated outrage, but they knew they had to put it in there, because you don't do that to the fans.
In TLJ, you have Luke, but he never gets "that" scene. That could have half-saved the movie if they did give him one, they didn't.

I agree.. That is not a good enough reason to dislike it..

IMHO

Most important part is number 2... Have a great story and everything else is forgiven. .
NOT when it comes to Star Wars....wrong...Star Wars is love, star wars is a nation, Star wars is a God and heart for so many....Kill the nation, kill the God, Kill the Love, Kill the Heart...Kennedy I think must have said this...Kennedy tried to kill off something too big....

The movie had small fan moments. Like Luke and R2 on the falcon, and agora showing up, but it needed one big moment that would ha e killed it for all of the old school Jedi lovers out there that was looking forward to Luke doing something spectacular.

agreed mostly

IMHO this film was a perfect combination of 1. Not meeting expectations, 2. Not really having a good script (for the haters), and 3. having an agenda.

Most important part is number 2... Have a great story and everything else is forgiven. Don't have a good sript and number 1 and 3 become a much bigger issue.

Well said.

Now more importantly will you be attending DiFabio’s “Death of Disney SW” Gala event.

I hear he’s opening it up for everyone to enjoy but a tux will still be required.

Wor-Gar will lead the ceremonial toast against Khev.

I hope I get to sit at the table Clown, crows and Snikt are at.

I can’t wait lol

Nah you’re missing the entire metaphor.

Besides the saber was still there at his feet to be picked up and addressed.

You’re just missing the message.

Now some see it as some kind of a negative meta SW fandom franchise message that they don’t like and that I can respect.

Luke Skywalker throwing Lightsabers away like garbage since 1983

Now you gotta show the end photo from the Shining LOL

Your honor I enter Adolfo’s response to the plaintiff into exhibit A. :lol

:lol :lol

Completely agree, like you said, RO had a lot of that, but was well made and felt like Star Wars.

The worse a movie gets, the more people are going to complain about every single aspect.

Yeah I agree.. I wrote basically the same thing a few threads after yours.

Well there is some truth to that... SW is not the thing to be messing with.

I think Luke is sick of Lightsabers

Well he kinda threw it away at the end of ROTJ...not at the beginning....a lot of stuff happened to Luke in that film to make him do that....TLJ...nothing much kinda happened on screen to make him do that....even in TFA

Btw, isn't it ironic that on one side this movie is criticized for heavy handed feminism, but on the other, they threw away the Phasma character like an old bottle of space cow milk? They built her up to be a monumental badass by adding to her mythos in the Phasma novel, put her everywhere in the marketing, to eventually do that to her in the end... The one female character other than Rey that can actually fight, and they ruined her with minimal screen time and being bested by Finn who is a far worse fighter.

It’s clear King George was ahead of his time..His films were about abandonment and bad parenting.

Luke has daddy issues and like many today he chooses the path of least resistance to deal with the pain......suicide.

Saga in a nutshell with new social agenda...

To deny this SW box office disaster as anything but a great victory by Trump as a referendum against the media giant Disney is to deny the huge social movement against political correctness and the fake media giants that put him into the office in the first place.

Sorry SW fans but Kennedy made SW the battlefield with RO/TFA/TLJ and this is the culmination of that war.

Yeah yeah yeah plot story narrative blah blah blah Kennedy decided to make the core of the narrative political.

Line in the sand was drawn.

Now...

Fatality. :lol

If she fought a white man...hmm would things have been different...She still might be alive though...I'm not 100% sure she's dead
