I wish everyone who saw TLJ was compelled to vote "liked it" or "didn't like it".

Other than extended runs like Titanic or Avatar, initial box office gives very little information beyond 'brand appeal'...

Jye and Khev are proposing that paying for a ticket is an immediate vote of "satisfaction".

:exactly:

The burning question... can TLJ beat MINIONS?:slap:rotfl

And how MUCH can TLJ beat TPM's worldwide gross UNADJUSTED from nearly TWENTY YEARS AGO by?

TLJ - even if it was despised by critics and totally rejected by audiences - STILL would have crossed $1B due to brand recognition (Star Wars being the #1 entertainment brand in history) and the clout of Disney.

Shhh, don't say stuff like that, jye and I are having too much fun trolling the naysayers. ;)

Is that what trolling looks like? I didn't realize trolls were so self-deprecating! :lol

I was just simply curious what the minimul money loss was for 200,000 ticket purchases at $20 a ticket that’s all.

Wake me when the negative votes hits 2 million people that will translate to a 40 million dollar total of people who HATED TLJ with a passion out of a 1.1 billion box office.

I'm pretty sure that literally everyone who liked it likes crap while those that hated it are connoisseurs of the very finest artistic delicacies. Because objective science. :lol

LMFAOOOOOOOO!! so disney leaves ~$400M plus on the table and folks are high fiving :rotfl
Fair market projections were $1.8B for this flick, if it comes in at $1.3B-$1.4B that's the equivalent of selling your house at 25% below fair market value :slap

Sorry......i won’t bring it up again. I don’t want to ruin the entertainment value reading some of these post.

Nerds deserve the rep received, Christ lol.

I think you'll see an exponential curve -- an even more significant drop-off. Lack of repeat viewers.

Families finally have something more positive to see: Jumanji. Word is spreading.

Jumanji is a Fun movie. it makes you laugh a lot. it has a sense of adventure like a comedy version of Indiana Jones, the movie gives you a fun time.

thats what you want in a Christmas movie.

As much as people Love the Last Jedi, I just cant see myself putting through that much shaming and political baggage again. specially not right now.
I saw Jumanji and it was fun, it was a really good time, made you forget about the holiday stress and just entertained. (the chemistry of the actors was insanely great)

the last jedi.... is preachy.

it is talking down to their fans.
almost feels like sunday church school where you are yelled at for the sins of your fathers. the last jedi has good visuals but the plot is depressing and just so preachy.....

i really wish people stopped watching the last jed for their 6th time and gave jumanji ONE chance... one view....

i seriously could not imagine myself watching the last jedi 6-8 times and being preached a and talked down that many times.... jesus christ... wtf....

if i wanted to get talked down i would go to a feminist poetry reading...

BTW I'm keeping an eye open for FS ads from some of you guys, and I expect at least a 25% discount from fair market price LOL!!

Technically those who hated it, disliked it because of pattern recognition. So, internal logic more so than empiricism. You've got a lot to learn, kid. :wink1:

How the F can anyone watch this TLJ abomination 6× WTF?!!!

muh stah wahs moobie made moar then ur stur wurz moobie. 1 billion dollas it da best ha ha *clap clap* dinsey gr8t

I don't even see the conversation as being fans vs. haters so much as people who actually think their opinions are "right" versus those that recognize there's no such thing. I know I'm laughing WITH people who didn't like TLJ at certain members that haven't grasped the difference...

Don’t forget that while TLJ will suffer a fate worst than death the PT are now masterful pieces of cinema. :lol
