I'm just hoping that the hardcore MMO fans (the ones who discuss things on the forums) don't force Bioware to make this boring. I haven't played any MMO's that were actually fun, and this looks like something that would be really fun to play. So I hope they don't screw it up.

I played the original beta and just recently tried it again with the free to play beta and it's full of the junk that makes me hate MMO's

Horrible quests, too much grinding, and horrible interfaces. I also noted the graphics are far worse then I remembered them when I played it the first time.

That's why I'm excited for this--it seems like you actually get to do something. It's really like a big KOTOR game where there's lots of other actual people walking around that can actually go along with you on a mission.

Graphics typically are not AWESOME in MMO'S and they're not going to be in this either. (better but not like a regular game)

Yeah, but the characters in LOTOR are absolutely horrible, the rest isn't that bad, but the characters are the worst

During E3 we gave live demos of multiplayer game play in The Old Republic for the press. Now we want to share the demo with the community! This demo shows how a diverse group of players use their abilities to complement one another in battle.
Commander Narlock readies his troops for an Imperial assault. As he does, all four Republic classes; a Jedi Consular, Jedi Knight, Smuggler, and Trooper join together to assist in fighting off the attack. Watch as each player does his or her part to take on the enemies, and beat the Imperial Troopers and Imperial Breach Droids.

While it looks pretty solid for an MMO...my goodness...what a contrast from all of those CGI trailers we've seen so far.

Looks pretty cool. Does anyone know if they are making a straight Mac version?? I'd hate to install windows just to play this game.
