Yes there are quite a few different types of speeders. You can purchase different ones from the speeder vendors. I think there are 4-5 base models with some vendors having a speeder only they sell. Not 100% on who has what but I noticed the vendor on Voss has a car style sit in speeder I've never seen before.

What does increasing skill level for speeders do?

If it's anything like wow, it's going to allow you to ride faster speeders.

10% faster i believe but don't quote me on that.

Yes, that is correct. Level 1 - 90% faster, Level 2 - 100% faster, Level 3 - 110% faster.

Are there many speeders to choose from? I've only ever seen one type. Like the one you get for the preorder

There are several types of speeders to choose from. They vary in style, but the overall performance is the same. As you upgrade to a faster speeder, it also increases the rate of damage you can take before getting knocked off. When you ride a level 1 speeder, it only takes a few hits before getting knocked off. However, level 2 speeders seem to take more punishment which is helpful when you want to just run passed mobs.
Since I'm playing on empire, you can buy speeders on the imperial fleet, tattooine, and quesh (that I know of). You can also build a speeder if you picked armortech (i think) as a crew skill...just need to buy the design for it (but imo it doesn't look that good...only the 110% looks pretty sweet).

for that reason i actually haven't done a lot of flashpoints. i did the first two and the rest i skipped.

I just want a better LFG tool for flashpoints.

just blatantly copy the random dungeon finder from wow, and I would be ecstatic.

Me too. Even with 200 on the Imperial Fleet getting a group for Hammer Station was a pain in the butt.

I played the hell out of the game during the weekend. Got my Sith Warrior to level 22 and I'm enjoying Nar Shadda. Love the Vegas/Flashy Shopping Mall style the planet has. :lol

Yea, that really annoyed me. I want to do 3 Flashpoints, but I can't, as there is nobody to do them with. A buddy and I tried to do them, but we keep dying. Tried advertising in the GENERAL CHAT, but that didn't really work.

Hopefully they add some.. So many possibilities.

Yeah, that this the great thing about MMOs. If the game remains popular, stuff like that is bound to come down the line in expansions.

Just got my Jedi Knight to level 24 today. To think I'm only half way to the max level with this character and there are still a ton of possible storylines to play with other characters. This game has an amazing amount of content at launch. Going to play a bounty hunter once I get my Jedi to 50.

One of the greatest games ever. Got my consular to level 43, light 5, 400 diplomacy, 330 artifice, 320 archaeology. Limited inventory space annoying. Upgraded two or three times, cost 50k last time. expanded cargo hold to 2 bays.

Haven't succeeded on The Hammer. Was on two teams and died 30 times total. I did all the Heroics on the first 2 and most of the third planet. After that, it got hard to find people to team up with.

I must have spent 200k on skills or more and 100k on repairs, which just bleeds money. I'm sticking to using whatever equipment I get on drops, and just keep selling of the useless stuff. I do like keeping the really neat looking stuff, though. I've kept every lightsaber I've acquired, so I must have 30 or so.

Some of the Commendation vendors have great stuff, but it is disappointing that they never sell the complete set of something.
I bought Muse boots and leggings on Alderann, but I needed a drop to get the vestments. I don't know if bracers and gloves exist. One planet offers vestments, another belts and bracers, another helmets and sabers, but not all types of sabers.

I think 210k is too much for a 10% speeder increase, so hopefully I can just pay the 300k or so at 50 to get a 20% increase from the level 3 speeder.

you can't learn level 3 speeder riding without learning level 2 first.

Me too! It feels a bit too much like a hub and not an expansive metropolis but every time I take a shuttle I'm in awe of the neon lights :)

I haven't had too much trouble grouping. I just did Athiss a few levels ago and getting a group wasn't too hard (and I'm a DPS Sniper).

It's good to know that Speeder lvl 2 helps with the knock down. Yesterday I was speeding around and I got knocked down fairly fast and it surprised me.
That said 210K for a 10% speed increase... will not be a priority for me.

I could see the speeder speed increased in the future. Star Wars Galaxies held back the speed of speeders when they were first introduced in fear that the game couldn't keep up with the speed increase. Hopefully they'll realize that a speed increase is possible and give it to us.

I rerolled. (i think i know what i want to play now lol)

Krayt Dragon server....

Jedi Shadow female
Sith Jugg. Male

Now, i want to make a non force user and having trouble deciding on what.

:)

Anyone do any exploration? See any POI'S like sarlacc pitt? or just see the sights? It's the one thing from galaxies i really loved. Sometimes i just don't like the point A to point B stuff. But then again in galaxies we needed more of that :)
