Watch episode 5, trust.
OK, that was pretty cool.
I liked the twist of the Jedi without masters turning out to be Sith. The lightsabers changing colour depending on the Force user holding it, revealing the twist was interesting. Not sure I'd like the concept in the more mainstream, live action stuff, but it was an interesting idea here.
The animation was pretty damn good too. The lightsaber choreography was decent.
Felt a bit odd, watching Star Wars in Japanese.
This episode definitely deserves a follow up episode in the next season.

That’s definitely my favourite one, would love to see it expanded upon.

I think they should treat Visions as a sort of proof of concept and then cherry pick the most well received shorts to be turned into a full show or movie.

You could change the language to English btw :lol

Yeah it was left open for development. I want to see these other Jedi wondering the galaxy.
I had no idea I could change the language 🤣
Thanks for the recommendation.
One of the 3 I watched before was interesting. This weird hybrid of Star Wars and samurai. It was worth a watch. I struggled with the other 2 I watched. Are there any others you thought were decent?

Honestly I like most of them

The Duel (first episode so I think you've already seen).
The Village Bride - Tells a better Jedi in hiding story than Obi-Wan lol
The Ninth Jedi (also already seen).
The Elder - I'd imagine you'd like this one the most
Lop & Ocho - Classic sibling rivalry story
Akakari - This ones kind of trippy

Tatooine Rhapsody, The Twins and T0-B1 I could do without watching again - to anime even for my tastes - the others at least try to tell their stories within the rules and lore of Star Wars

Brilliant, thanks very much. I'll check these out.

Ep 1. Animation is stunning, trippy stuff, action is great too. Dialogue was a bit iffy and on the nose but it is a foreign studio.

Ep 2. This one started off not very interesting but got more interesting as it went along but then it ends up feeling like setup for something more.

Ep 3. Animation is beautiful in this one again, that voice actress for the young girl should consider a new career though, genuinely awful. Aside from that it was a cool little short.

Ep 4. If you like Wallace & Gromit and other Aardman stuff you’ll probably like this, that simple really. Cute dog droid abomination thing too.

Ep 5. Love the art style of this one. I think this is easily the best one so far out of the first 5. Great atmosphere. Sucker for a cool villain.

Ep 6. Fat stormtrooper. This one gets good when the action kicks in and has a neat little twist.

Ep 7. Animation style very reminiscent of Clone Wars but slightly more realistic. Nice yo see an Inquisitor and Purge Troopers and a granny Jedi.

Ep 8. This one is just alright, probably my least favourite tbh. Not bad, it’s your classic citizens standing up against tyranny story. Does have a pretty dark unexpected moment.

Ep 9. This one is cute, not really my cup of tea though.

I couldn't get through any of them. Not sure who the audience for this is, but it's not me. It's all so bland and lifeless. Animation used to be such an expressive, imaginative medium. These are just as gray and formless as all the rest of the corporate "content."

Not sure what you were watching but they’re far from grey and lifeless :lol.

i have the final 2 to watch still, but so far the first one is by far the best. The animation is stunning in a very different sort of way and the action is very Star Wars.

Wow. I can’t believe you didn’t enjoy this. You usually find joy in everything

It's a Collector Freaks spectrum:

Otomofan ----------------------- ZE_501----------------------- Zurdo95

I put myself in as centrist because I can be quite critical but leave room for 'popcorn entertainment' and have been known to forgive objectively bad films because they're somehow fun.

I wonder where everyone else falls on that spectrum? I know @jye4ever is definitely right-of-ZE ... @Wor-Gar sometimes seems to be just left-of-ZE although he's not as screed-y but maybe more selective and curmudgeonly? Victor would have been just right-of-Otomofan I think ...
