At the very least they could have made it red and silver to look like the Mark V suitcase.
I like the white! It is a baffling decision, though. All I can think of is that maybe they thought red/gold would be too busy? Or cost too much to produce? Maybe they ran into production issues with those colors. They had to have at least tried red/gold, right?

I have to say, that's a pretty cool looking arc-reactor in the middle. The scalpers are going to have a field day with this.
