This is a thread where you just put your user and your real first name and hopefully we will get enough signatures! I only want to see the first film charcters made but it's everyones petition.

Is there any evidence that this kind of thing actually gets results?

Either way, I would be down for some 1/6 bugs and Dina Meyers (or is it Myers?).

no. i've never seen or been shown any credible hard evidence that a toy manufacturer would actually cater to the whims of a message board.
these things usually end up being an excuse to preach to the choir, or they devolve into an excuse to bicker on the internet.

that said, my real first name is prefused and i'd also like to see some 1/6 bugs.

:lecture :lecture :lecture I doubt there are even enough freaks to warrant these things working. While I wouldn't mind some 1:6 Mobile Infantry, I doubt there'd be enough interest in such an obscure license. :(

Not a sausage...I guess the OP is just following suit from all the other similar HT petitions on the DC and Gen Collectables section.

I wouldnt bother with Starship Troopers figs, all their outfits look the same and none of the characters were very memorable unlike the Aliens crew.

The troopers - fairly uninterested unless the head sculpts are spot on. Even then, nah.

The bugs - give me a maquette of a (warrior?) bug chomping a marine in half with one or two previously dispatched troopers in pieces at his feet - that, I would buy!

No offense, but have you seen some of the figures being put out lately? Nothing is obscure anymore.
Count me in Citizen!

What you're referring to has a bigger Asian market. Starship Troopers has an itsy bitsy US market and an even smaller Asian one. Any company looking to produce this license would be putting a gun in their mouths and doing a skull-cap salute.

What I'm referring to are the figures being made recently from various companies that are bringing out characters from older films/series:
Inavasion of the Saucermen
The Day the Earth Stood Still
Planet of the Apes (reborn yet again)
Clash of the Titans
UFO
the Avengers
Lost in Space
and thats without looking anything up thats due, just off the top of my head. Nothing is too obscure to see the light of day anymore.
Hell, if that new the Spirit film can have figures.....

I don't know if I'd necessarily want Mobile Infantry make by Amok. Would you? And POTA will be the reason HT doesn't dip into obscurities anymore.

Their items really aren't all that bad at all. No, they're not Hot Toys or Enterbay, but I like what I have in my collection. And considering the alternative is to nothing....

I don't expect anything to realy come of it, this post I mean! But at least we can see who would buy these and who would'nt care! IM IN 100% on this!
